Perfect poached eggs every time!
Never could poach eggs, they always turned out a MESS! This little device produces the perfect poached egg every time. Easy to use, easy to clean cannot fault it. The down side is my 5 grand daughters are always pestering me for poached eggs now when they come to my house. Think I'll get some hens!

Eggstastic.
Came as described. Well made. Easy to clean. Reading the reviews only one (from the good and bad) that i saw noted the cooking times. I followed that and had perfect poached eggs first time. So thank you. For reference.... 700w microwave used to poach 2 eggs. Top up water to fill line(diagonal baskets). Microwave on full power for one min. Add eggs to water. Carefully prick each yolk to prevent explosion. Microwave for 90 secs on 80% power (white was solid and yolk was runny but you can check after a min, then every 10 secs if you want). Eat and enjoy.

WANT PERFECT EGGS - USE HALF POWER!
I cooked two medium eggs perfectly, solid whites with a runny yolk, using the following method. Microwave power: 900W; Medium eggs: 2 x 60g (approx); Eggs were taken from the fridge and were cold. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Fill two diagonally opposite baskets with cold water to the fill line marked on the basket; 2. Place the empty poacher into the microwave and heat using 100% power for 1 minute; 3. Take the poacher out of the microwave and crack an egg into each basket; 4. Place the poacher back into the microwave and heat for 1m:30s, using 50% power; 5. Check the eggs: the whites should be solid. Adjust the time for your microwave, but stick with 50% power. The eggs are cooked when the whole of the white turns solid; you should just about be able to see the yellow of the yolk. If the whites are runny, use 10s increments on 50% power and check again, repeat until the white has turned solid. If you like a solid yolk then cook for a bit longer on 50% power using 10s increments. Remember, the eggs will still cook when they are in the hot water, so take this into account to get your timings right. TIP: Always use 50% power when cooking eggs, otherwise the outer whites will cook too quickly and will become rubbery, and the centres will be under-cooked. You can apply this method when cooking other foods or liquids: turn the power down a bit and cook things for a bit longer, and remember to stir things halfway though.

Not quite sure about this item.
The Sistema microwave poacher is well made and looks good, it comes with clear instructions on how to use it, but this is with a caveat, it is by it's very nature a hit and miss cooker, for instance not all eggs are of the same size, and it also depends on how many you want to cook, my experience with it is hit and miss, sometimes you get near to what you want, and then other occasions you feel you have been thwarted, if you cook a lot of eggs this way, and you have the time and patience then I am sure you can crack it.(no pun intended)

Does not do what it says on the video
I was so impressed with the video shown for this product but was bitterly disappointed. It says to cook for the appointed time and the eggs would just slip out of the little baskets onto your plate when you transferred them to the plate. WRONG! I think the instructions said to cook for just over a minute- resulting in raw eggs! So we kept adding time. We have to cook them for 3.5 minutes and leave to stand for a minute and then the yolk is hard. Any less and the white is all runny and inedible. You then have to prise the eggs out of the little baskets because the egg has seeped through the basket and baked either side of it. So the result is a perfect white, hard yolk and a container and baskets that need a lot of scrubbing to get clean. I don’t know how they managed it for the video but this certainly not happening with the item they sent me. Puts you off using it because of the mess.

yes it works fine
OK I got this morning, so we had poached eggs for breakfast. So after reading some of the reviews I was thinking this could be a real waste of money? How and what I did? 1 boiled kettle 2 filled poacher with hot water 3 put in microwave 1 minute 4 put in two eggs in trays 5 put in two eggs without trays? 6 cooked for 2 minutes The eggs came out soft yoke not runny next ting Ill cook for 1.30 minutes Ask others have said the egg can get stuck in the tray I think water will have to be rolling boil to stop this? The other two eggs done with out trays, came out great took out with plastic spoon that came with my slow cooker just the right size. The eggs was nice shape soft not runny, but not hard yoke. I filled the no tray half way with water, next time Ill use less 1/4 fill. I have had my breakfast, me and the other half, she dont like poached eggs but made her try one? Her words... wow you know me I dont like poached eggs but they are really nice, I would have them done like this and eat them for breakfast when you cook them or even tea time with bacon beans. I do think you have to try different timings for you microwave no of this I have a 800watt and cook for ???? that dont mean a thing not ever 800 watt microwave is the same, or any other wattage are the same differ by make as well. test test try try you will get it right in the end.

This egg poacher is extremely easy to use and eggs are wonderful and clean up is a breeze. I am not a cook but I love poached eggs...this is the best of both worlds...put water in, add eggs, microwave for a couple of minutes...and...there upi have it...hot poached eggs done to perfection.

This one works really well for me but you need to find out the exact time you need for your particular microwave.. trial and error..keep adding 10 sec at a time depending on how you want your eggs. I USE POWER LEVEL 5 but it takes about 5:45 minutes for 4 eggs....not sure how long for less than 4 eggs. It’s pretty easy to clean with a wet sponge and a bit of soap under running water in the sink,I prefer that over putting it in a dishwasher.
