Easy Setup
Very easy for initial set up. Surprised that the 5G picks up well as my 5G gets weak at about that location from the house. If becomes an issue I have strong 2.4G outdoor repeater nearby for another “brand X” camera farther back and I can set this camera to the 2.4G instead. I’ve had several issues of chicken theft and hopefully the thieves don’t return, but now maybe we can know who it is if they return. I’m a little bit concerned that I didn’t check IP rating when I was searching for a better camera than that I already have watching the chicken coop interior. We did just have a hard 1” downpour yesterday afternoon and so far has held up well. Initial test have proven well, pinging when we go out in the morning and evening to feed the chickens and quail, picking fruit, or just moving around. I turned off the PIR for our daytime activities and that the animal detection was going crazy trying to follow the chickens around everywhere, lol.

Perfect for closer range people and animal detection and recording.
This Trackmix is my favorite. When researching the Reolink brand I was looking for a good camera for capturing wildlife and pan and zoom tracking. This model has worked well. Though with spring and now this tree blocking the view it still does a good job detecting our dogs and the other critters. It doesn't have the pre recording that I sought with the Ultra P models, but the dual lens and ability to track digitally and then switch to wide angel and pan is really useful. It doesn't always pick up at night when the Duo lens picks up something in it's vicinity. Maybe inadequate ambient light for the PIR sensor.

Constant Connection Issues
Updated Review 12/2/2024: I've been working with Sandy at Reolink and been trying to troubleshoot the issue. They sent a replacement TrackMix and seems to be working well. I'll give it some more time to see if any issues rears itself. Their customer service has been great! Sandy has been on top of everything and making sure the whole process was as painless as possible. Not sure if Reolink corporate has some weird manager to jump in on the trouble ticket but somewhere in the middle, someone else responded that was pretty useless and I demanded to speak to Sandy only to continue our resolution. Will keep everyone updated on how everything goes.Original Review on/about Oct 21, 2024: I am in the process of moving away from Eufy as their products are terrible in detection and what's the point in security camera if it doesn't detect anything (or detect a moving branch but not a car????). Did a lot of research and a friend also recommended Reolink system. I am impressed with the detection but the connection is absolutely terrible. On my S20 Ultra, the app always says "Not Connected". When I do connect, it takes FOREVER for the stream to start that is if it does. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries (back to the main screen and select this camera again). Pretty annoyed with this. I did read about connection issue but I thought it might be their network or just a non-techie. I was wrong. Even on 5ghz, it does this. This goes for the Duo 2 as well (another review on that too). Pickup on motion is also a little delayed missing out about the first 3 to 4 seconds of action. Not what I was expecting. When I first setup this camera, it was.... interesting. Was not expecting dual view; one wide and the other zoomed in. Nice feature but a little gimmicky. IR washes out plates so if a car/truck pulls up, not going to read the plates. Tried the spot light, same effect. A bit disappointed.I'll give credit where credit is due: the detection and tracking is amazeballs!!!!! I tested myself leaving my property a good 70 ft away from the camera and it picked up the motion and the tracking followed me even with a tree in the way. VERY IMPRESSED.Nice camera but a bit overpriced for the $200 (tax included). I'm actually temped in going to Eufy S340 as it's on sale now and I'm already in their ecosystem (though I wish I wasn't).

Connection Issues
Long review but WORTH THE READ!!Update 1/23/25: I finally figured out how to view my cameras current version of software, screenshot and sent to person over email. They pushed the update so I was able to see it on my end. I also purchased a Hub to have one main source for my cameras to connect to rather than all separate on my wifi. Then everything worked as it should. I hung them all up.BUT now. First, 2 of my cameras that were working just fine, now are “disconnected” and it’s been -16°F outside, I’m not gonna go out there and take them down to unscrew a cover to turn it off and back on. I have already tried turning my wifi off and on, that didn’t do anything.Second, I told them from the start that the solar panel I received with one of the cameras does not work. The solar panel is on the same exact side of my garage as another cameras panel, only like 3-4ft away from eachother and this cameras won’t stay fully charged and the other one is just fine.So now I have to, yet again.., try to contact someone that won’t toss me through hoops to hopefully just get a new solar panel.. and also figure out why these 2 cameras are now “disconnected”.Original: I started out with 2 of the TrackMix WIFI cameras. I was impressed with how fast and easy they were to hook up, how quick they loaded when viewing away from home, and the quality of the view. I decided to get 2 more of the TrackMix WIFI cameras. And that is when it went downhill. They connected just fine to the app and wifi. But when I hung the cameras and connected the solar panels, they did not work. I took the cameras and solar panels back down, charged the cameras fully with the wall plug provided, and messed with the solar panels and finally got them to connect to the camera. (We’ll see how they connect when I hang them up again…) The next issue I am having is I am not able to view 3/4 cameras when I am away from home…. I contacted Support, they tried to get me to open up my router security to get them to work. I will not do that for multiple reasons. I decided to purchase a Hub. Again, connection was easy. Then it told me 3/4 of the cameras need a firmware update, so I click update and there’s no update available and says they are updated to the latest version… and now I can’t view the cameras at all even when I’m home. This is very VERY frustrating especially because of the money I’ve spent on these things.. I tried to do the manual download of the firmware, well that isn’t working either.. so now I have to wait to hear from Support again.Update: 2/5/25.This customer service SUCKS. They never answer the phone and when I email them, they email me back in the middle of the night so it takes SO LONG to get anywhere with fixing anything. Now, one thing to note about these cameras, the solar panels, sucks. The connectivity, sucks. I have 2 cameras that I cannot have the PIR turned on for because it DRAINS the battery. The solar panel seems to not charge them although it says they are connected.I don’t know how they have these things rigged to do that once you add more than just a couple cameras. One of the cameras affected is one of the first 2 I got and never had issues until I added 2 more cameras. It’s super frustrating I spent this amount of money on 4 TrackMix + Solar Panels AND a hub AND an indoor camera and none of them work all together for longer than a week after I spend WEEKS trying to get them to work.
