Excellent value! Well made and perfect for daily home use.
It is an excellent computer and my go-to tech. It is well-made and looks good. I first bought an ASUS Chromebook for my mother, who struggled with Windows. I quickly realised that the Chromebook OS suited my lifestyle now that I have retired. It is quick to load up and perfect for emails, web browsing, video conferencing, and YouTube. It is fast, responsive, and ideal for my needs. Google has a comprehensive suite of apps, and my Windows laptop is only used for programs that are not cloud-based. Cloud storage is the way ahead and allows me to synch with my android phone: a perfect battery life and a good quality screen. I thoroughly recommend this product.

Amazing machine...
I use this beast for all my office work and do not miss Windows at all.The processor is really snappy and it handles multitasking effortlessly. The touchscreen and track pad are super responsive and it feels very premium.Solid metal body but compact and lightweight.Resolution could be higher but I find most content looks great.Being fan-less you may find prolonged video editing will warm things up a little... But a cooling stand really compensates well. You won't needv this unless you're really pushing the i7 chipset with some serious demand. It's cool as a cucumber with standard use.Tablet mode is great for art work and taking notes with a USI pen. The built in pen is okay for brief use but has short battery life so maybe pick up the latest from Penoval...I find it works well with this machine. It's handled everything I've thrown at it so far and at the knock down price it's well worth the spend. It stops receiving updates in 2029 but that's plenty of use!I'd say try it... It's brilliant.

Good apart from chrome
As soon as you open it and touch it it is pure luxury. So fast, no lags when turning it into tablet mode. Backlit keyboard a treat. Harman kardon speakers to die for. And the headphone jack socket is there as well as the hdmi socket. This is the main reasons I bought it, headphone socket and fabulous specs. A little cinema on your lap. However chrome OS leaves a lot to be desired.Everything is DIFFERENT. How you start or shut off, where commands and files are saved, lack of fundamental apps, or apps working in a poor way. Even a simple copy and paste requires you to open a tutorial to learn it.And after 3 days of use, it suddenly became black, frozen, with unknown commands to operate IT AND REVIVE it. It lasted for a while, but then came back to normal..All of this is unacceptable in such an expensive item especially the lack of normal apps. If this is the start, what will I find is missing in this new unnecessary and obscure operative system?Sorry I have a life, don't need to open a tutorial every day to learn basic operations.

Easy to Set Up and Works Well
Quick to set up and starts up fast. Linking Google accounts was simple, and everyone in the family could carry on using it without issues. Feels well built and handles everyday tasks with no problems. Good value for the spec

Fantastic Chromebook Plus
I've never had a Chromebook before but just wanted a device predominantly for easier web browsing for those times that apps and mobile browsers just don't cut the mustard. Opted for this one as it had a good saving on it (though I don't always trust those "was THIS! now THIS!" offers on here, but I have to say - I'm really pleased! It's lightning fast to operate and really easy to navigate. The screen looks great and everything is integrated seamlessly with my phone. Better yet, the device itself told me that as this is actually a Chromebook Plus it meant I get the £18.99 a month AI and storage upgrade for free for 12 months. I was already paying for the 2TB memory upgrade for £8 a month so it's saved me £96 in the first year already - even better! No regrets whatsoever in getting this and can highly recommend it to anyone.

Great Laptop
Funny that; it's what I'm currently using to review this product. Super happy with it. Simplicity at its finest. It does the job, especially since I have a Mac Pro, so I use this more when I'm attending the coffee shop.Additionally, the advantage of downloading apps is that I can do it on my phone. Allows me to use and work accordingly, as I dislike having small screens. Suppose you are looking for something easy to use with a good, long battery life. This is for you.

Awful laptop
Absolutely awful. This laptop only for teenagers 7-10 years old.

(Almost) everything you need, nothing you don’t.
I decided to buy this for my non tech savvy mother who still uses a Nokia and has no interest in technology. A Chromebook was perfect for what she needed, which was a simple device for browsing, emails and watching YouTube etc.Once I set it up and removed a bit of bloatware my mother took to it quite easily, and several months later has had no issues as everything is simple and ‘idiot proof’, unlike windows machines. It remains to be seen how long it will last but the build quality seems good and the battery and storage are also generous for this type of device. The screen is better than expected also.Definitely a good option for those who know they only need a basic machine that has some future proofing built in.
