Vitamin C Serum for Face 20% with Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin E, 1 fl. oz.

I've reordered this product from Amazon 3 times but have held off on writing a review because I wasn't sure how much of a difference it was actually making for my skin. I initially bought it because I've read that vitamin C provides skin with a small amount of sun protection, which is good because I have very fair skin and live in a tropical climate where I'm often exposed to the sun. I've also read that vitamin c is useful for evening skin tone, reversing the signs of aging, preventing or repairing UV damage, and has antioxidant qualities. I initially enjoyed using this product because it soaked into the skin quickly and easily, a few drops was enough to cover my entire face, and it left me feeling soft and fresh. I recently went on a short vacation and forgot to pack this serum and almost immediately noticed a difference in my skin. It seemed rougher, drier, and generally less dewy and healthy. Also, I noticed that the fine lines around my eyes were more noticeable as were the darker freckles in that area and I was more apt to developing small blemishes. I've since resumed using this product and I'm pretty convinced that it helps a lot as far as keeping my skin looking less tired when I'm stressed. It seems to give me a healthy glow as well, and my skin feels soft and taut right after I apply it, and it layers well under a moisturizer, sunscreen, and makeup. I'm not sure how it compares to similar products on the market, however I can say that it's become essential in my morning beauty routine. When I use it I feel like I am taking good care of my skin. Additionally, I have very sensitive skin and never experienced any irritation or dryness after using this product. Overall, this one was a win.

Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum for Face is a wonderful product! It also contains vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. (Vitamins C and E need each other - and they are GREAT for your skin!) I have tried to purchase this combination of vitamins in other products in the past; however, the vitamins were always oxidized and I had little faith in their effectiveness under those circumstances. Amara Organics Vitamin C Serum arrived fresh, potent, and definitely not oxidized. I tend to be allergic to everything - but I have no problem using this product. I can see it is making a difference already! My face feels a little bit "tight" after I put it on... not unpleasant, but just there. Just to be sure it was working, I put some on the back of one hand tonight. Within a half hour I could see a dramatic difference even sitting in a darkened room. When I looked at it under a bright light, the skin on the hand with Vitamin C Serum appeared tighter, healthier, and had a lovely radiance to it. I had planned to put my usual hand cream on and see what it did overnight, but I am already excited with these quick results. I am going to give this product a serious try and see if I can turn the clock back a little. I feel the price is fair given the quality of the product - I am so glad it is organic. Sadly, I am on a very strict budget, so I may not always be able to get this product (boo hoo). But I have some for now!I needed some customer service for a minor issue and the customer service is the very BEST. The product arrived within one or two days - although I bought it during the busy holiday season.Thank you for making this excellent organic product! This is a great quality, well formulated, excellent lightweight-texture Vitamin C serum for those seeking MINIMAL/NOVICE skin lightening/brightening effects.Water-light texture of this serum makes it suitable for ANY skin type. Absorbs in seconds, feels like there's absolutely nothing on the skin.Ideal for acne-prone/oily skin types- as Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (the derivative of Vit C this serum uses) has been found to actually treat and reduce acne lesions, hyperpigmentation/redness, and breakouts. Contrary to typical L-Ascorbic Acid + Tocopherol serums, which are very comedogenic.STABILIZED nature of this serum means that it will not "brown" or lose its effectiveness with regular use (big plus). It also is NOT ACIDIC ON THE pH SCALE which means it won't generate a skin sensitizing/irritating effect like L-AA (although SAP's very alkaline on the pH scale... serum has a pH of 9 which is a tad more basic than desirable for skin application).NOW FOR DRAWBACKS... If you're someone with moderate/severe dark spots (hyperpigmentation), UV damage, and aging skin - this serum is not for you. As with all serums that utilize a Vit C derivative (instead of pure L-Asc Acid), the derivative in this serum (SAP) will ultimately convert to lesser % of "useable" Vitamin C to the skin. SAP has one of the lowest conversion ratios of all the derivatives (~46%). Meaning the quoted "20%" on this product will actually yield about ~9% Vit C to the skin. This is far too low for significant anti-aging/brightening effects.Typically for anti-aging: 15% Vit C is ideal (or 10% Vit C with 7% Tetrahexyldecyl Asc... another derivative of C).
