Do It Yourself Prep N Store: Recipes & Prepping Ideas Made Easy

I’ve bought 6 books now, and finally this is the first one to address my needs. I wanted a recipe book specifically for putting a COMPLETE meal in a jar that we only needed to add water or maybe one or two other things to finish it off. Now I can not only store an emergency meal, but a “feed the family without me” meal. Thank you to the author!

So far we made two recipes (Beef Stroganoff and Chicken Fettuccine alfredo). We loved both so I prepped 6 each. I look forward to trying each recipe and if it passes our test I'll prep more.I was seeking a cookbook that would allow me to cut out prep time in the kitchen where its basically a dump in pot/pan and add a few other ingredients.This book can easily replace all those overly processed boxed/pouch convenience meals/side dishes where you actually know what's in it and at an affordable price.I'm going to be making the hot cocoa recipe soon.

This is a great book! It was exactly what I was looking for! It is very informative and some nice recipes. I highly recommend it!

We have been collecting freeze-dried food, canned food, and water for a while now, but I wanted to be able to package some foods up myself to save money and for variety. Additionally, after looking at a sample of this book I noticed there was a page entitled "Critical Foods to Store", which helped fill in the missing pieces of my food storage plan.Lots of great information on the pros and cons of different storage containers, optimum storage conditions and storage life of different food items as well. And then many recipes to help you use what you have put together and stored!A great resource for those of us who want to be prepared in the event of a short-term or even a long-term emergency.

I own a couple of books on preserving food sources and really enjoy this book. It is extremely helpful and provides many recipes to use. I have tried several and they are very good. I have one in my pantry and am giving a few out during Christmas

I wanted to learn more about food preservation and how to use the food that is around us. It helps and is an interesting read/. I have passed the book on to others and they are learning from it too. I would reccommend it to others.

Received this book thinking it had a lot of meals in a jar I could prep with all my dehydrated foods but most ingredients were calling for freeze dried meats and powder milks or something I didn’t have. It didn’t have a whole lot of meals in a jar. There was several spice mixes, dripping mixes and soup mixes. So if I wanted to make small jars of these items to give as gifts it would be nice. I’ll probably stick to YouTube or Pinterest to create what I want.
