Hasn’t worked once since we got it. I have used in a small 5gal and in a small pool. It doesn't even get warm. I bought it in preparation for winter and it’s useless.

started working great, I thinkwe left town while it got really cold. I suspect it was working in the bucket, BUT the water didn't stay warm enough to feed the lines to the coopthen I discovered that it had caused the GFCI to trip, so it wasn't working. Couldn't get the GFCI outlet to stay live after that while the item was plugged in.when I removed it from the plastic bucket, there was an area at the bottom of the bucket where it had melted its footprint.too many issues. Unfortunately the return window passed before it got cold enough to find out these issues, and I don't see anywhere on Amazon's site where I can troubleshoot this. $45 gone forever.

This heater worked fine, but had terrible timing when it decided to quit after only a 4 months. I hadn’t gotten the chance to check the chickens water on a couple days and discovered it frozen solid. Disappointing. I didn’t seen any way to warranty it on here.

Purchased Getty ready for winter months horse water trough. Finally got to use this weekend in Texas, with 14 degree and less weather. Although no ice formed, it did not heat water enough to provide some degree of warm water for the horses. Never felt any heat from the unit itself...why? Hmmm. Not sure on that one. Passed the return Window. Gonna try for.a manufacture non working unit and see what happens. But for now....dont...on this one.
