3-hour white candles that can be used to power a German Pyramid
I bought these 9.7 cm x 1.7 cm white Shabbos candles to power an old German Pyramid and they work well for that purpose (1). BUT, with the original long, loose, floppy wick on top, some candles melted wax on the side of the candle and then had a much larger flame on the side, which I found unacceptable. So I would advise you to trim the top of the wick down to 1/3” or .7 cm to avoid that problem (2). When lighting the candle after installation on one of the Pyramid's candle mounts , you should hold the match or lighter on the thin white neck of the candle to melt wax to feed the initial small flame. As the candles melt down to their base, the floppy wick will ultimately fall over into a pool of wax and go out (3).If you want to avoid wasting that remaining wax, quickly remove the candle holder and pull the remaining wick from the pool of wax (4).. Then quickly replace the wick with a stiffer, waxed wick inside a metal sustainer tab inserted into the pool of wax (5) to form a new candle to burn off the remaining wax(7).. (I use Cozyours wick and sustainer tabs to do this.)Using a stopwatch, I timed the burn times of 5 of these candles over several days of use in our Pyramid (6), and the total burn times were 2 hrs+ 51 minutes, 2 hours + 57 minutes, 3 hours + 8 minutes, 3 hours + 25 minutes, and 3 hours + 28 minutes, for an average of 3 hours and 9 minutes. I found that Any tilt in the candle holder seems to cause excess wax melting and cause a shorter burn time.To help relighting these candles after a shorter burn time (30-60 minutes), you can try putting a small "crumb" of candle wax besides the wick before you relight the candle. This helps the candle relight successfully after each use. Cheers!

Perfect Little Candle!
Perfect size, several uses for arts and crafts. Great for emergencies, store well at room temps. I love these little candles, I use them for my craft projects, and store for emergency purposes. They burn evenly and slowly. For the quantity and quality the price is unbeatable! Highly recommend.

Long Lasting
I order this once a year. I couldn't ask for a better Shabbat candle.

Seem a little shorter than the last ones i bought
Decent everyday quality candles, however this batch seemed about a 1/4 inch shorter than the last ones i bought. Shrinkflation? Well they still have an approximate burn time of almost 3 hrs.

Happy to find them online
Several years ago, I worked in a Jewish-owned grocery store and they sold these. Then I moved across the country where the grocery store chain isn't located. I was thrilled when I found these online this year, and bought several boxes of them. I use them when reading at night. The dim light makes me sleepy but my ADHD brain demands reading before sleeping. When the air in the bedroom isn't moving, these burn for three hours, no dripping, no issues. Timed it for ever box of candles. Because the boxes smell funky, I remove the candles and place them in a different box. The candles have no odor, but the cardboard box they're stored in often smells unpleasant. Trimming the wicks isn't an issue, seeing as the wick of any candle should never be longer than 1/4 inch. Because these are thinner than standard taper candles, I melt the bottom before placing them in the candle holders I use. This keeps them upright and firmly in place. If using particularly wide candle holders, I'll put a little sand in them and sort of bury the bottom half inch in the sand. These are fantastic candles, especially for the price.

Lots and lots of candles!
I don’t know what I was thinking. Two boxes of 72 candles? But when there’s a power outage, candles might be my only form of heat. I don’t have any other options, you’ll just have to take my word for that. It’s amazing how much heat a bunch of candles can create. Not good enough for long term, but ok for overnightHolding my hand about 12 above just one candle, and it got too hot, so what I do is light about 20 of them, set on my coffee table, close off the rest of my place so am only trying to heat the one room, and they do. Who knew?Big downside is they say the only last 3 hours, except if you keep the wick shirt, they have lasted more like 5 hours. Time for the power Co to fix things and get another place to go if I have to. I’ve not had to do all that.I’m a senior woman, live alone with no family anywhere, this is my solution.
