I bought this for my Husky who is 23 months old.It is really super hard to find out product information from anywhere about sizing and i bought the number 4 1st.It was massive, went over her eyes, far too big, so i got sent out the number 2, far too small, so got sent out number 3 which was the perfect size.Mr Pets, who i bought this from, have the most amazing customer service i have ever come across bar Amazon themselves.They gave me advice on the phone, and i gave them my dogs measurements, but despite best efforts the 1st 2 they sent didnt fit her, this was not their fault, they were given incorrect information.This may help you decide what to get them and save a month of going backwards and forwards trying to figure out the right size.There are 3 measurements you need to take of your dogs muzzle.Measurement A is the diameter of your dogs muzzle from the bridge of the nose (by the eyes)in a circle around the whole muzzleMeasurement B is the diameter of your dogs muzzle around the end of its snout take it about an inch from the endMeasurement C is the distance from the bridge of the nose/eyes to the end of the snout, when taking this one especially be mindful that you need to leave a good 5-10cm gap so your dogs nose doesnt rub on the end of the muzzle causing sores/bleeding.With all that in mind here are the measurements for all sizes:Size 1 - A = 24.5cm approx B = 20cm approx C = 6.5cm approxSize 2 - A = 30cm appprox B = 23cm approx C = 8cm approxSize 3 - A = 32cm approx B = 26cm approx C = 9cm approxSize 4 - A = 37cm approx B = 29cm approx C = 10cm approxSize 5 - A = 41cm approx B = 33cm approx C = 11cm approxSize 6 - A = 44cm approx B = 36cm approx C = 12 cm approxPlease note that sizes are approximate.Once fitted, the muzzle should allow your dog to fully open their mouths as in a yawn, yet be tight enough not to be slipped over the nose. Please take this into account when checking your dog's measurements against those in the size guide. The reason that they are approximate is that they can vary during production.Please also be aware that a dog should never have a muzzle on for any longer than 30 - 60 minutes, and you should never ever leave a muzzle on a dog if you are out of the house and they are unsupervised.Hope this helps.

The muzzle feels well made and has good instructions on how to make it fit your dogs face as well as possible. I'm happy with it's appearance & don't think it looks too outlandish or bulky.One thing I will say is that people with longer faced dogs may struggle to get a decent fit as there are limitations to how much you can adjust the muzzle.I'm really happy with how well it seems to fit my Staffy mix. He doesn't seem to mind wearing it and is learning to get used to it. The straps that go along his face are padded which is a nice feature & the plastic clasp works really nicely with a locking mechanism.The muzzle itself is not very heavy at all yet it still feels durable, only time will tell how long it lasts but so far I've not noticed any issues.Once I fit the muzzle to my dogs face I took it off and cut off the extra material on the straps that wasn't needed. I'm not sure if this is advised or not but if I didn't cut it he would just have long straps flapping about on his head and in his face. If you do decide to cut the excess material just remember to melt the ends so that they don't fray.If you buy this please measure your dogs head correctly and remember that you can adjust the shape of the muzzle by putting it in hit water and then holding it into the shape you want.

The rubber muzzle is quite tough and hard but has room for dog to pant. Would benefit having the option to somehow mould the muzzle to the shape of the dogs face and have a soft pad so it is comfortable whilst sitting on top of the dogs face as it can be hard resting on their muzzle bone. The long strap between the eyes is annoying - it does not have to be that long.

Works really well for our German Shepherds, and doesn't cause them any distress. 2 months of use when out and about and it's holding up well

I originally ordered a size 3 muzzle, which was a tight fit, so returned it and ordered a size 4. The muzzle fits much better, but I was expecting exactly the same in a bigger size, whoever I was very disappointed to find that the fastenings are not as good on the size 4. Size 3 had the locking snap lock fastener which is quick to put on and safe. Size 4 has a buckle strap which takes longer to put on, and the holes aren't even re-enforced so they will stretch into a bigger holes in no time, then the muzzle don't be safe. Also the strap on size 4 that goes over the head only attach's with a flimsy flip that you have to flip into a hole on the main strap. I gave that a pull before even trying it on my dog to find it came straight out of the hole and fell off the main strap. Where as size 3 was properly attached to the main strap. Very disappointing!!UPDATEI have contacted Company of Animals directly. I was told that the buckle type Muzzle has been discontinued and Amazon must have still had some old type muzzle. I returned and re-ordered again, after being told by Amazon customer service that I wouldn't be sent a discontinued muzzle again, and it was a mistake. The new muzzle arrived today, and yet again I got the old type with a buckle that was discontinued. So yet again I'm returning it, but this time I have gone elsewhere to purchase the Baskerville ultra muzzle. I now finally have the locking snap lock version.

Esta talla ha funcionado sp bien, no parece romperse ni nada, no puede comer cosas del suelo más que hierba, así que me parece excelente. Igual lo acomodé muy poco con agua caliente y le quedó muy bien. Recomiendo amarrar con el collar para que no haya alguna excepción que se lo quite

I purchased the muzzle with the hope that by training my puppy to wear it he would have protection from crazy people we encounter. I am not happy with it and regret the purchase. It cannot be adjusted to fit smoothly and securely by any of the straps. It bunches up and is very difficult to adjust while on or off the dog. The strap that goes between the eyes and over the head does twist and bunch and makes my dog continually paw at his head. I had to add a separate collar using the bottom loop to try and secure to my dog, however the bottom loop only allows a 1 inch wide buckle collar to be inserted. A collar cannot have a clip fastener due to the loop size. It’s frustrating and basically useless for my dog. Good luck if you decide to purchase.
