Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Extremely helpful - A life saver! I am doing a paper on psychology and this book is amazing! My English is not the best but this book is so well written that even a child could learn about Piaget and Erickson. The writer has explained in a simple manner things that at the Uni I couldn't understand. Review: Very good, brief introduction to the theorists - I like this for an introduction. It is exactly what it is described as, not written in overly complicated language and good to refer back to for refreshing memory on who says what.

it's easy to read and follow
I've just started a PGDE in Primary Education and this was a suggested read prior to the course, it's easy to read and follow. The book was in an excellent condition.

Great to read but doesn't include all the stages of development for the theorists (only goes up to about 10 years old) so ideal for anyone doing early years but not so good for older children's theory.

Very good for acedemic studies....
Currently doing my FD and found this book to be amazing in regards to my current psychology module. Did take a while to arrive though, but worth the wait.

LOVE this book. It's a good primer on 5 of the foundational early childhood theorists and it's a very easy and quick read. I'd love if they'd come out with another one covering Gerber, Malaguzzi, Bandura, and Bronfenbrenner in the same format.

This text has a thorough introduction to each of the theorists listed. It tells you a bit about each theorist as a person, the fundamentals of their theories, and gives examples of what application looks like. Each chapter has a few questions and discussion points at the end as well as recommendations for further reading. Emphasis on early childhood, most chapters only going from birth to ages 5-7. Perfect for parents, early childhood educators, and daycare providers.
