Stunning deck
Absolutely love this tarot deck. Guidebook is beautifully illustrated, too. The cards have so much pretty detail in them, highly recommend.

Beautiful deck.
Absolutely beautiful deck, very easy to get lost in each image. To early to start using this deck for readings yet. But I am enjoying learning each card. Looking forward to reading with these.

Simply amazing
This deck is my personal favourite, instantly friendly and the artistry and symbolism is astonishingly intricate and beautiful, I really do like 'pretty' decks but am often deterred as its very easy to be distracted by such, not so with these for me, instead I find that the images on each card compel me to really focus and help me to provide better readings. The deck is just so friendly and is very direct, even a quick single card reading can just jump out at you with a good lengthy intricate answer if you so wish. despite the intricacy of the images I think this deck would be very suitable for beginners and advanced users alike, they are very much a one off.The accompanying book is simply astonishing, each card image is reproduced in black & white coupled with a bit of back story and then divinatory meaning. As some have said the book meanings are more positive than negative but good interpretation will easily accommodate this, there are also no reverse meanings which again good interpretation can easily accommodate for should you use such technique.I do have a couple of niggles though: the inner box for the deck is simply way oversized and flimsy making it no use, especially as the cardstock is rather flimsy. Don't get me wrong, the deck handles really well and the coating is very smooth without being glossy and that alone is a major positive but could deter some from regularly using the cards as it also makes them feel flimsy given how thin the cardstock is.I would recommend this deck and book without hesitation to anyone regardless of skill level but I would also highly recommend purchasing a decent bag/box to store the cards in.

great images, but the book is simply too confusing and not enough
Great imagery is the reason why you would buy this deck. It certainly was my reason. Amazing watercolours! I had seen the deck on a friend, and ordered it imediately as all of the cards seemed friendly (I am one of the people that when looking at a tarot deck I take a look first for the devil, the tower, the hanged man.... you know... the sort of chaos and mayhem cards). So this deck will NOT give you the chills, it does not have bad vibe cards, it is almost peaceful and serene. And the images are great, although I would like the cards to be larger in order to enjoy them. The creatrix worked on an intuitive way on creating the images, and she wants YOU to work intuitively as well. So the book is full of intuitive visualisations on the cards, rather than plain explanations. If you are a newbie at tarot reading like myself, you want more hands on approached to help you interpret the cards.Buy this for the images, it will certainly be a collector's item soon... but maybe buy another one to help you through the journey of learning tarot as well!

Beautiful cards and book. Shame about the damage in transit.
These cards are supremely lovely and my first reading with them was insightful. The quality of the cards is lovely and the book is also very nice - I found that the black and white images in the book were a nice counterpoint to the colour images of the cards and wouldn't have wanted to see the card images replicated exactly. Black and white was perfect. My only quibble is that - and not for the first time - these items arrived damaged. The box was crushed to bits and the book inside also had about the first third of its pages creased and folded over. Trouble was, by the time I'd taken all that in, I'd already fallen in love with the absolutely lovely cards and removed them from their wrapping. I made a choice not to go through all the hassle of returning and replacing them, on the basis that they will inevitably get damaged or worn during use anyway, but I am disappointed. If you're looking for beautiful tarot cards and a book that guides you in interpretation rather than doing all the work for you, get this set. But be very careful to check it over before you accept it as I rather fear that most of the damage was done by the way Amazon stores its products rather than by the delivery method. It was such a shame that my purchase was tarnished by damage,

A great to look at but...
This is a beautiful deck to look at, the art work is amazing BUT i am a little disappointed, the card quality is not good and i am afraid that i will bend the cards as a previous comment said it is hard to say if it is thin card or thick paper. It makes the deck feel cheap and of poor quality which is a shame, The cards themselves do not do the imagery justice. The card size makes the pictures look busy and it can be hard to focus on the pictures. I think a larger deck would be much better but that is not up to the artist. The pictures in the book are much better but it is a shame they are in black and white.None the less this is a a great deck deck and strangely and i have ended up with 2 decks, One with the comapnion book and one with the meaning on the leaflet. The information in the book is no different really to the information contained in the the small booklet so for other than the larger images it means that for cost effectiveness you would be better just to buy the deck.

Absolutely stunning tarot set. They have served me very well up to this point. They are my favorite thus far.

Breathtaking art, cards could be thicker
The media could not be loaded. I bought this as a deck to bond with my faery guides more closely. I also bought the Paulina Tarot to see if my guides would prefer that. While that one is gorgeous and has better cardstock, that one will be returned. Nothing comes close to the vibration of this art for me personally. I'm an artist, and with the style of art on these cards, I feel like I could have designed this deck myself. I don't mean that disrespectfully to the artist, as if anyone could duplicate this work. I mean that it speaks so in line with my soul that I feel like it's always been a part of me. The death card for example is one of my favorite cards of all the decks I own as I always associate the death card with a Phoenix, and all the other images seem to trigger memories from other realms and different lives.I see people calling it cluttered or too hard to read. This is not the case at all for me. The Paulina Tarot is cluttered and muddy (for comparison, not to trash on that deck; it really is lovely and whimsical, just way too busy for me). The Shadowscapes Tarot is expansive and airy. I have a hard time breathing, but when I look at these images, it forces me to breathe deeply in a very natural, purifying way. The colors are refreshing and crisp. The images do have details, but only where it matters, otherwise the background is left blank, which helps create that expansive feeling. It was very well thought out by the artist and well balanced.I included some pictures of the book, but I cannot comment on its contents. It's a massive, heavy book, and I don't often use guidebooks. I could've bought the version without the book, but I read that the cardstock on the version with the book is better. Plus, this set was selling cheaper than the cards alone. Still, I know the book will come in hand.As for cardstock, they have a slight gloss that helps them slide and shuffle, yet I don't think they'll slip out like crazy. They are on the thin side, but no moreso than a standard RWS deck. I know they'll wear down with time, but it shouldn't happen for a while because I'm very gentle with my decks. I never ripple shuffle, but they do feel like the perfect weight for that. I would worry about that, though, as ripple shuffling any deck causes curvature and extra, unnecessary wear. The box is sturdy but outlandishly large to accommodate the book. I'll have to buy a bag or make one to fit it, because I'm not keeping this huge box on my shelves. I might even toss/ donate it. I hate being wasteful, but I have no purpose for it, and I'm trying to stay minimal. If this fantasy imagery speaks to you, do not hesitate to buy this. The realms of the Fae definitely had a hand in making this divine deck. You can feel the energy of this deck is genuine, not a made-for-profit ordeal. Each card begs you to explore yourself deeper, and I know I'm only just at the beginning of a grand adventure with these cards.
