Well Crafted
Needed some small snatch blocks to use with a rope to help take the dock in an out. These snatch blocks are perfect! Well crafted and light enough to toss in a pocket. Because pulleys are a force multiplier, they could be used with an ATV on the trail or pulling a snowmobile out of a snow bank.

Solid value; can really improve with a bit of finishing work
These snatch blocks are solidly built, but lack in some fit and finish. I’m using them for a makeshift cable machine for my small home gym. I noticed some bumping during rotation when I first installed them, so I disassembled them and found a weld or extrusion seam in the steel bushing between the pulley and pin. It was easy enough to take down that seam with a Dremel and/or needle files. I then used some high grit sand paper to polish up the bushing and flatten the outside faces of the pulley (they were marring the paint). Finally, I applied some thick, high-quality multi-use grease to both sides of the bushing, since this will be rotating under load. Personally, I wouldn’t use these under more than about 500lb; but that’s really just a personal judgement not something for which I have quantitative evidence. Overall, these can be great value for medium-duty applications with about 15 minutes of work (each).

Heavy duty
I haven’t used it yet, but it appears to be good quality.

NOT Commercial Reliability......
I won't say this snatch block was commercial grade! Sleeved sheave/pulley. Through bolt with nylon insert lock nut (nylock) loosened and pulley walked off sleeve so there was a gap between pulley and side plate. Winch wire got into that gap and bond up. Had to disassemble snatch block and press the sleeve back in.I am replacing a 105 foot deep well pump that has 1 1/4" galvanized discharge pipe with a home made "derrick" that's less than 350 lbs.(Some quick math 2.272x105=238.56 plus 50 for pump = 288.56 and 10% just for fun and you get 317.416). I should NOT have had any problems with a 2 ton snatch block! It's good enough for a DIY'er but I won't trust it for commercial use.

Bought for use with an ATV plow
Block is exactly what is stated and pictured. Is very solid, and looks like it should last a good long time. I bought this to be used with a snow plow on my ATV, along with 17” tie-down loops and a 5/16” d-ring shackle, all work together perfectly. Combined they’re slightly cheaper than the kit sold by the plow manufacturer, but they look to be a lot sturdier, and they got here in one day instead of one or several months. Very happy with this purchase.

Very small.....
These are way smaller than you think. It easily fits in your palm. About 3" long. Not really impressed. Time and use will tell.
