C Be Tried kind from Amazon for my broken 2009 Toyota Corolla keys but a few weeks later they will fall apart or not fit properly. Finally I found this. This one all the inside from my old keys fits properly, this are very sturdy, and are constructed properly. They don’t come with instructions but with common sence or watching a YouTube video you can figure it out. Just transfer the inside of the other key especially the transponder chip and snap all together. I took my key to Home Depot but the employee gave me all kind of reasons why my key can’t be cut, finally I went to Lowes and found an employee with common sense and this employee was kind enough and cut my key for free.

I used this to replace the key for my 2019 4runner.First, proper setup is required.THE KEY WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOU TRANSFER BOTH COMPONENTS.On at least the Toyota keys, you need to make sure you transfer over the immobilization chip and not just the main part with the buttons.The chip is located in the slot on the lower right as seen in the picture. It is glued in place so use a heat gun (hair dryer works too) to melt the adhesive and then slide a thin screwdriver into the small slot above it and pry out the chip. There is a corresponding slot in the replacement shell to hold this chip.Second, I see a lot of reviews talking about paying a ton of money for getting the key cut. Since no programming is required, go to a local locksmith and have the key copied. I paid $2.75 to have it copied. I did need to remove the blank for it to fit in the equipment.

There’s a little play in the actual key fob but it works nice and was able to be cut to my 2013 FRS key with no problem. Swapping over the buttons from my original fob was fast and simple and the only thing I had a small problem with was getting the chip over. Key itself is great and fits in my pocket better than the original only down side as mentioned earlier in the post is the amount of wiggle it has when deployed

It isn't anymore durable than the replacement I had before. I mean it'll be fine so long as I'm starting the car. But if someone wasn't mindful and just held it in a way that could start breaking the plastic. That could be a problem. Otherwise it looks nice, it'll work so long as I'm using it, and thankfully I have functioning key again.

Seems to want to work but just one little screw broke right away (1st turn)and it fell apart....Update tried one more and it seems to work. You have to be careful with install of screw and spring when you take it apart to cut key. So it's kinda ok so far...

Was getting tired of the factory 4runner key sticking me in leg while in my pocket. This Hide-A-Key fob was the perfect solution. Keep in mind you will have to remove the factory chip from old key and it will destroy the old case but you can use the old key as a spare in case you accidentally lock keys in the car. A quick trip to the locksmith and for $8 they cut the key and had me rolling with this new clean key fob. Will probably get a second made for a spare.

The media could not be loaded.  El material se ve de buena calidad, parece ser más resistente que las llaves comunes. El control remoto y el chip encajan perfectamente. Llevé a cortar la llave y funciona muy bien. Viene con logotipo de Toyota!!Para desplegar y guardar la llave hay que presionar el logotipo.

Es mejor que el control remoto de marca.

media calidad ya que la llave queda floja en la carcasa, de tu llave original le quitas el pequeño chip que esta oculto y nada mas la llevas a cortar con tu cerrajero lo que en total me gaste 20 dlls de la llave y otros 20 dlls usd en la compra quede por decir conforme mas no 100% satisfecho
