Oh well, it was only 99p!
This book was really awful. I read the first few turgid chapters before giving up and skim-reading the rest. So predictable and talk about repetitive? I mean, really, talk about repetitive (har har). The never-ending laboured narrative was rarely lightened with a bit of dialogue. For goodness sake, as a reader I honestly understood how awful this poor woman felt about her daughter being kidnapped without having to be mawkishly reminded of it on practically every blinkin' page. And as for the ending. Really?? Dear me! Well, I bought it on the basis of all the good reviews so, who knows, maybe it's me? Oh and it was cheap so what the heck. I'm really sorry Jamie Raven, I actually hate giving bad reviews but just felt I had to in this case as I'm clearly a lone voice crying in the wilderness.

A Fantastic read! a real page-turner
A Fantastic read ! a real page-turner , I was engrossed in the story from the start , As a Mother and Grandmother the story had some heart racing moments for me , I read the book in a couple of sittings as I desperately wanted to know the outcome and how the story ended .Having also read Jaime Ravens two previous books 'The Madam' and 'The Alibi ' I can tell you without a doubt that I highly recommend them and all deserve to be on the bestseller list . I am so looking forward to the next one ,

Wow 😮 😮 😮
What a fantastic read lots of twists and turns. Great characters from Sarah/Adam/Brennan. I truly couldn’t put this down had to keep reading to see what happened. As you’re reading this you feel as if you’re going through all the-same situations as Sarah and Adam. Well done Jamie excellent read so looking forward to the next release.

Terrific read though ludicrous actions of cops
I really enjoyed reading the book and it kept me interested throughout. I had to suspend rational thought when it came to the police though as so many were off doing their own thing without any reprimands at all. Not true to life at all.

Good read
It took a while to get into the book as it was the main character describing the story... Which isn't my usual type of reading material... So I didn't like that aspect of the book...but once I got past that the story was OK.... Not griping and exciting.

The mother.
Excellant read. Every mother's nightmare. The fact that the mother in question is a police officer poses far more problems. The story is harrowing, frightening, exciting and heart breaking. The parents and police face so many problems, The dialogue between all characters showed all aspects of honour and respect and extreme hard work really good read.

It was great from beginning to end. I couldn't out it down. Both characters Sarah and Adam were great. Didn't like Adam at one point but you grew to love 💘 him.
