Q: Does the straw lid drink more air than water?

Not exactly sure what you are asking, but the straw works pretty well. As long as the straw lid is flipped all the way up, I don't get any air while drinking. If it's not all the way open then I get some air. And the straw doesn't quite go to the bottom of the bottle so get a little air at the end.

Had mine for over 3 months and I drop mine several times,so far no leaks. Really good insulated water bottle, better than the hydro flask water bottle I bought before. worth it.
