Campbell’s Chunky Soup, Sirloin Burger With Country Vegetable Beef Soup, 16.3 oz Can (Case of 8)

I Love Campbell’s Chunky Soup! They make the Best Soups! The size is Perfect! (The salt is perfect. It enhances the flavor.) I have several special ones and I was thrilled when they packaged certain ones in an 8-pack at special price. Chunky Sirloin Burger soup. It is the Perfect thickness and SO Tasty! I once tried a suggestion on the can. It said to add some Sour Cream & Paprika! Oh WOW! This makes it EXTRA DELICIOUS! Just a little thicker Like a Stroganoff or if you’re Polish, like Goulash. YUM! Now I Always have this on hand. Sour Cream & Paprika are 2 stables in my kitchen! The texture is just right with all the vegetables in it. It’s Y kind of Healthy! Sorry, no photo, I forgot and ate all of it, taking a photo was an afterthought… yep! Right after I ate it All!

It soup! Great flavor, super hearty, great meat texture. Better warm than cold (fresh out of the can, you know who you are 😉) Great for the upcoming winter season, as this is a larger pack of cans.

I hadn’t bought chunky soup in a few years, but when I noticed my workdays were getting more intense, I knew I needed something I could throw in the microwave for a fast lunch (or on occasion dinner). The price was right and I had always liked the Sirloin Burger variety so I pulled the trigger and ordered a case. The flavor was about the same so no complaints there, but there were a few surprises. First, the can was smaller than I remember. If I recall correctly, they used to be 18 oz and they’re now 16. Second, the texture of the mini burgers was decidedly different. They used to have more of an actual burger texture but now, they’re a more homogenous, smoother texture and they’re a bit thinner than they used to be. Finally, if you’re expecting a lot of actual beef, be prepared to be let down. I don’t know if this will be the case for all cans but since Campbell’s is clearly pinching pennies, I imagine it will be. There were only 6 mini burgers in the can. Don’t get me wrong, the soup tastes good and is filling, but there’s not much nutrition-wise to be had and a single serving is listed as 1 cup which makes for a pretty meager meal - yes I ate the whole thing and calorically speaking it’s still only 300 calories which I’m fine with. But the sodium! One whole can has 1720mg! Insane. I’ll probably still have it from time to time, but I’ll be looking for healthier options for the regular meal rotation.

These can be quite pricey in the store individually. I have paid up to $4 a can. This is an incredible value, my husband’s favorite soup! Tastes so good, hearty soup meal, loaded!!! Never disappointed.
