An ideal running shoe for those making the transition from traditional to minimalist shoe

Great running shoe.
Probably the best minimalist / barefoot running shoe you can get. Beautiful y made and nice to run in. Enough cushioning to keep your feet from damage on hard surfaces but still with a lightweight barefoot feel.Personally I went 1 size down for these from normal vibrant five fingers size for a nice snug fit as the uppers are quite stretchy and the heel is low.

Brilliant
Assuming that you've already transitioned into barefoot running, these are fantastic shoes, very light and very breathable. I've worn these on everything from tarmac to rocky trails and they grip and inspire confidence. No complaints whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend as your first pair of barefoot shoes though, as they are so light and thin, there are better zero drop options out there to ease you in

A great run.
I have been running in minimalist shoes for the last five months, so the early aches and pains are now behind me. The first run was a gentle 3.5 miles and the second was 5.1 miles. No problems at all, very comfortable, grip on wet grass/easy trails is good and the shoes are comfortable. Initially a bit fiddly to get on, but once you get the hang of it, it only takes a few seconds more than other more conventional shoes.

Great but too big
So I went off the sizing information on the Vibram website and it turns out they were too big. I measured my foot and ordered the appropriate size. Since they were my first ever pair I didn't know what to expect and so thought I'd go and try them. After a couple of runs I realised they were definitely too big as my foot was slipping around within the shoe but can't send them back because they're worn. I'm a Euro 43 and these are 44 (sorry I don't know my proper UK size anymore so can't comment on that!). So it turns out you should just get the size that you actually are!!The shoes themselves are very nice, the quality seems very good and I'll be getting more when I manage to sell these second hand. One thing though is they are exceptionally noticeable with the bright yellow sole, even more so than what it seems like on the pictures here. I'm going to find a shock black pastor next time...

So comfortable - my favourite running shoe yet!
These are my 6th pair of Vibram five Fingers and my 3rd pair of Bikilas. They are so light and comfortable and still give great protection. I used to wear 5 finger socks with my VFF but i do not need them with these Bikilas. The lacing system is so much better than the old velcro closures and this has resulted in no blisters when i dont wear socks.Although they are made for road running i wear them on trails and on grass too - such a great sense of barefoot running - They are my favourite VFF and i love them!

nice product, not amazing
I like the idea of Vibrams and these look good, the pain of adapting is unreal and I've already whimped out and gone back to running shoes for now. I would say the toe holes, particularly the small toe is miles off and unless you have the right shaped foot, which according to a lot of vibram message board not many people do, it won't fit properly.

Perseverance is key.
A litter strange at first. Thought my second pair, having sent my first back because they were too small were also too small. With a little perseverance they are soon comfy. Snug but they are meant to fit like a glover. Will definitely be ordering another pair from amazon.

Absolutely love these
I've had this shoes for a couple of years now, and they are my favourite shoes for running on the streets. I get a great feel of the ground, and it positively impacts my running form and cadence. They are annoying to put on, specially if you have crooked toes like me. This is why I dont use these exclusively anymore. But once I'm out running, these are the ones that enjoy using the most. Your feet will get wet if its wet, but on the plus side, they dry quickly as well.
