The Barn: An Extraordinary True Story

This book is very heart wrenching and parts are difficult to read. Yet only adds to the miraculous miracle and conversion. It’s a wonderful book proclaiming God’s infinite mercy and love for everyone. AND as a mother of 9 the importance of intercessory prayer. Thank you David Hill for writing this book. Very Courageous!

Easy read but author is very graphic in the abuse he endured. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart. I’ve had to stop and start several times because it’s a lot to handle. I feel terrible that he and his family went through this and so glad he came out the other side.

I was not expecting such a religious story

This book is very inspiring to both the Christian and those who have not made a commitment to Christ. There were parts that were difficult to read because I have a problem knowing how a human being can be so hateful to another human being, especially a child. But David has come out on top with a good life with his love of our Lord.

Abuse p*rn and mythological salvation. This book was poorly written and trite. Glad the author turned his life around, but this book was unpleasant and predictable. Don’t do drugs, kids. But if you do, Jeebus will save you.

Not at all what I expected. Not necessarily a bad thing.Although the book has a great message, i lost interest for the last 20%.

I would recommend this book…easy read…doesn’t take long to finish the book.

Wow! I was breathless and angry as I read the author's account of the abuse he and his family endured. It dredged up memories of my and my husband's own childhood atrocities. Mr. Hill reminded me to continue to keep a heart of forgiveness towards our now deceased abusers and our extended family (who have been used by spiritual dark forces to inflict great pain and damage in our adult lives). I have felt quite isolated and embarrassed by the attacks brought on us and have not felt comfortable sharing the details with any of my church family or friends. I felt my Father wanted me to read this book and I grateful that I obeyed. It has helped renew the desire to not grow weary but to pray for those who persecute me. I am reminded that the Lord can redeem it all! Thank you for sharing your testimony Mr. Hill- I understand dredging up the past may of been quite painful for you but it wow look at what the Lord has done!!!
