Perfect utility knife
I have a good assortment of quality knives, but I needed a small serrated knife. I don’t know how I survived before I got this knife. I use it multiple times a day. It is well balanced, feels great in my hand, very sharp. Perfect for cutting a sandwich in half. Slicing fruits and vegetables etc. there are a lot of similar, less expensive knives on here, but you get what you pay for. I wanted a quality knife, that felt good in my hand, that’s exactly what I got. I’d buy it again!

Razor sharp out of the package.
Knife is razor sharp and shaved the hair off my arm right out of the package. Should work very well for its intended purpose. Knife handle feels natural in my large hands. Nothing else needs to be said. Very pleased with purchase. You won’t go wrong with this knife. Price is right also.

Pleasantly Surprised by Knife Quality!!
I am SO pleasantly surprised by the considerable sturdiness of this knife and its excellent cutting ability!! I honestly didn’t expect this quality! I’ve purchased far more expensive knives, in the past, hoping for what I am experiencing with this knife!! This one actually delivers what I had hoped for in the past! It cuts tough raw meat or cooked with absolute ease! It feels substantial in my hand without any fear of losing my grip! It’s very well balanced. The size is perfect for maneuverability! It’s now my new favorite knife!!

Beautiful Knife for a Great Price!!!
I always wanted to try a quality forged boning knife as I have been making my own meat products for the past 40 years or so. But I can't bring myself to pay $80-$100 for an experiment in cutlery so I've gotten along just fine with my countless Dexter-Russells and Mundials and they are fine, their edges hold up well and once dulled out come back easily with a few whacks on my sharpening steels. But finding this knife at this price I had to try one even though it is entry level for Henckels. This knife is really nice, the quality is fantastic even though it is entry level. The fit and finish is amazing and once I tuned the edge a bit it is razor sharp. A news flash for all the reviewers complaining about this knife not being sharp-MOST knives are not that sharp out of the wrapper, you usually have to tune them a bit. Yes they come about 90% with both sides of the edge nice and even but a little steel work will make them razor sharp! I tested this knife by boning and slicing 15 lbs of meat right away and it was still nice and sharp afterwards. Anyway buy this knife, it is well worth more than the $22 I spent for it. And I also bought the Henckels Premio 6" Utility knife for my wife for kitchen use and I'm even more impressed with it!!

Good value - A capable kitchen tool
I've recently been searching for a good cutlet knife for preparation of beef and chicken, which I make quite a bit for my family meals. The Henckels Forged Premio 5.5 inch boning knife does the job inexpensively and with little flourish. The full tang forged blade on this knife is slim, relatively thin and flexible but strong - as a boning knife should be. The handle is VERY comfortable to hold and solidly built. This is not a "show knife". With its dull satin finish on the blade and handle, the look is much more "working kitchen tool". That's what it is and it does the job I need it to do just fine. The knife arrived in very cheesy plastic packaging - no money wasted there - but was reasonably sharp and immediately useful. Made in China of an unspecified "German Steel" that is not super hard and with a relatively linear blade, I was able to hone it to a nice edge in short order with just a few careful swipes of a honing rod. Sharpening ease is important - because all kitchen knives that are used a lot need to be periodically sharpened, no matter the steel hardness. For comparison, I've tried two other knives. The first was an AUS10 Japanese "Damascus Steel" knife with a curved blade, also made in China, at 2x the price. It's a beautiful looking and substantial knife with an excellent finish, but unfortunately came dull right out of the box and is hard (for me) to sharpen due to the curve (and perhaps high steel hardness). It was not as capable as the Henckels in actual use. The second knife is a genuine VG10 Damascus steel Japanese utility knife that is wonderfully balanced and light and so sharp it can cur though just about anything in one smooth, light motion, just like a scalpel, at 4x the price. A wonderful and beautiful instrument, but fragile. I will never try sharpening the Japanese knife myself or hand it to others - it looks EASY to chip or break. So I'll be carefully taking it out and enjoying it myself while quietly cooking. The Henckels knife, on the other hand, I just dropped into my knife block to be used - by everybody, including me, all the time. Because it can do the job, take a beating, be sharpened easily and is not overly expensive if it does break. As I said - a solid "Working Knife". In this class it merits five (5) stars, IMO.

Any time you pay for a quality knife you get a quality knife. Just watch we’re it is made as per many companies they have there entry level and then there level and it is no different here. Always look for second and third level made
