Q: Will this work with the NON TILT mixer, the one you move the steel bowl??

I have an older mixer, and mine has the steel bowl that just twist into place, and this works great.

Q: I know it's not designed to work with a lift bowl but has anyone tried it? Did it work?

This I don't know. But beware, at least 1/3 of bowl remains uncovered. About a fourth is deliberately left open. And the pouring part is another avenue to toss contents. Doesn't prevent messes especially if the items are light like flour. I tried mine several times. It was another step. And if you wanted to scape the bowl while mixing, you had to remove it. I finally returned it.

Q: Would someone please post the diameter of the shield? I have a bowl that is 8.5 inches wide. Thanks.

The bowl I have is 8 1/2 inches and the shield fits perfectly.
