Takes a while to learn without any documentation.
Addendum: I figured out how to make it work. I like this bike now. The problem was that the key has THREE positions (one for allowing the battery to be removed, one for the battery to be locked in place but off, and one for the bike to be ON). And the key was really difficult to turn at first, so I had no idea that it could go to the third position, so it seemed like there was no electricity at all. Now that I've gotten it to work, it's a pretty good bike. I'm about 250 lbs, so it does require some assistance getting up hills, but even then with a fair amount of pedaling I can go uphill around 10 m.p.h. The bike itself is VERY heavy. I live on the second floor of an apartment building, and found that my wrist and shoulder were trashed from carrying it up and down the stairs. I have since switched to backing the bike into the building's elevator, and the wrist pain is gone again. The chain that came with it was super-cruddy (link broke after a month of grinding), and the derailleur is passable but more Yugo than BMW. I took it to a shop and after two tries, was able to get the brakes to work well. It charges well in about 6 hours after I get home from work. I am 197 cm tall, and this bike is plenty big enough for me. This is a good starter e-bike for the price, but did take some work, and a big learning curve due to less than ideal documentation and customer support.Initial Review Headline: Electrical system not working; no troubleshooting in tiny manual; dearth of customer support.Initial Review: The bike arrived yesterday, and it was easy and almost fun to assemble. I charged the battery for 8 hours overnight (or rather I *believe* I charged the battery, but there are no LED indicators on the battery itself), put it back in the bike, and went to turn it on and NOTHING HAPPENS. The LCD doesn't light up, the front light doesn't turn on, nor does the horn. The manual that comes with it is about 4 pages long, and contains nothing about troubleshooting. I'm trying to find contact info for the company, or get customer support, and the only thing I can find is a gmail address ([email protected]). I bought this electric bike, and am finding myself immediately troubleshooting the dead electrical system, with a dearth of support available. I don't want to spend my first days with this bike taking it to a shop to figure out whether the problem is a defective battery, loose connections, some extra hidden button that needs to be pushed to get things going, or what-have-you. If the manufacturer could provide a 1-800 number to call, that would be great, because right now I have a $1000 electric bike that is entirely electrically-dead, taking up space in my living room.Additionally, taking out the battery is a hassle. I'm a big strong guy, and having to fold and unfold the bike each time to take out the battery (with the keyhole underneath being half-obscured by wires) is a bit of a trick.

Budget bike. Good for the price.
Received the bike on Friday 5/28. Bike was packaged well and was almost fully assembled. Attempted to put it together but the front wheel axle would not spin so I loosened one of the nuts to release the tension and after that all good. Battery came almost fully charged. Tires needed air but I expected that. Both front and rear brakes needed a quick adjustment as well. No biggie. Nice having a tool set included with the bike. Nice to have the battery enclosed in the frame but upgrading the battery in the future may prove difficult but time will tell. Bike is heavy so be prepared. As for the ride, it rides well enough. The 500w motor has plenty of power during PAS and full electric. Front shock is sufficient enough but not the best but what can one expect in this price range? Shifter i believe is more of a friction shift rather than full trigger but it does the job. Would have been nice to have a 7spd cassette but again in this price range it's just fine. Bike is built like a tank and rides like it without PAS on inclines. On flat ground without PAS the effort is just fine. Would have been nice to have a manual on how to use the lcd. Right now it's trial and error but I'll do more research on the specific model. Front light works great but not high lumens so don't expect a lot. Geometry is not a one size fits all but ckose. Find myself trying to sit back farther but I'll buy a new seatpost and seat in the near future. Battery life so far seems good. After about 10 miles on mixed PAS and no PAS, battery depleted to 3/4 when my wife's bike was almost full. All in all it's a great bike for the price. Love riding this around town and on the trails. Our whole neighborhood is buying ebikes so it's nice having our little biker gang.Update: 115 miles in. Still loving this bike. Found some detailed instructions on how to set the controller up properly.Uodate: after 300 miles had to bring my bike in to the shop. Bottom bracket was creaking. LBS greased up the BB with no issues since. Also had a tuneup done.Update: just hit 500 miles. Battery still holding the same amount of charge. Didn't charge the battery one night. Left the next night with a half charge and rode almost fifteen miles. Pretty dang good. Tires are starting to wear normally. Still seems like a good buy. Brakes are having no issues stopping the bike when I need it to even on declines.

If you pedal quite a bit, need better seat!
I really like everything about this bike, except maybe battery could last a little longer. But overall I am happy with purchase.I am trying to pedal more, but I keep catching myself going back to full electric. I love how it folds, I throw it in back of Prius and take to work to ride around different places.

Nice bike
I like the bike but does not come with any operating instructions. So just need to figure it out.

Over 140 miles so far and it's been great
I have ridden this bike a lot around town and I love it. It has some squeaks and things but overall is a sturdy bike. The battery charger did die and when I contacted customer service they were very responsive and sent me a new one.

Great customer service
Solid bike, sturdy, fun to ride. We had a couple of initial hiccups but customer service on this was absolutely brilliant even with the time difference! The company was extremely responsive and took care of our concerns quickly.
