As a beginner I've found this furnace to be superb, it melts beautifully and is a great starter furnace. Easy to operate, this melting stove feels safe, it's made of high quality materials. I purchased the TOAUTO Upgraded Gold Melting Furnace as a gift to myself. I have always wanted to learn how to melt, pour and create molds with metal. While I don't expect to be using it for gold, I will be using this a lot with aluminum, steel and copper I have accumulated over the years.Out of the box, I can tell this is a quality product. It is heavier than I expected, and very solid, and sturdy on its base. Safety leather gloves are included, and they will cover up to most forearms. I have ordered safety glasses appropriate for smelting, and I already have a heat-resistant leather apron. This furnace feels like safety was designed into it, with a built-in heat insulation net, enlarged base and two carrying handles.Two crucibles are included, for smelting up to 1KG or 3 KGs of metal. Metals have varying weights, gold being much heavier than aluminum. A pair of crucible tongs holds the crucibles perfectly, helping to insure against accidents. Also included is a beginner's set of molds and the 110-volt electric cord, and finally an owner's manual that seems very thorough.

It was my first time using one of these. I've wanted to try working with metals for a long time. This machine was very simple to operate and safe, and fun! Very effective for my project. I used it to melt brass for a special challenge coin. My only concern is that the top finish started to delaminate, bubble and flake off after a couple used at high temps after a few hours of use. May not be anything other then a cosmetic issue which I'm ok with. But I do wish it came with some other items, such as a larger brick graphite mold, or a casting frame for sand molds. That would make it a package set ready to use for way more use right out of the box.

So far this seems like a great little foundry. I had some aluminum I wanted to cast into inguts to use later and it melted it well and afterwards the crucible still looked brand new. The instructions are good dispite the translation being a little off. It tells you how to operate this and how to replace any parts should they go bad over time. Some important things to note, make sure to preheat your crucible and in order to melt well, you need to set it 50 to 100c hotter than the melting temp of your material to get a good melt and pour. I plan on trying this with copper soon and will update this if there are any problems.
