This product allows me to get out of the house and ride (not drive!) to places again. I really missed being able to visit my mom, and I can go more safely now with this product. It keeps me from developing whiplash during turns and defensive maneuvers, which is pretty easy to do when your neckbones are as severely compromised as mine and the only things holding your head up are your muscles. Thank you for opening my doors to a little more freedom! However: don't drive while wearing this, it is basically a free-form hans device that does not connect to a seat and you can't turn your head to see what is about to run a red light and t-bone your vehicle! I leave it off around the house so said muscles don't get too lazy, but it sure helps when the headaches hit and I need support!

My neck is totally fused plus I suffer from spinal stenosis. I have issues with pain, weakness, and fatigue. I would often seek relief by wearing the standard issue c-collar provided when I had surgery. When it became necessary to replace it I chose a Miami J. It was a wise decision. I feel completely immobilized in this collar. The neck angle is perfect. It is easy to 'cheat' in a standard collar, not so with a Miami J, you are locked in position. Comfort on the jaw and chest area is greatly improved with this collar. I can wear the Miami J comfortably much longer than the standard. I find it to be well worth the money, certainly so if you are in a similar situation as myself. My review is for the standard sized Miami J.

I guess this businessman "Miami J" thinks so much of himself that he thought everyone would want his name plastered on both sides of their necks. Or maybe he just thinks of other people as his property or advertising billboards. Looking in the mirror, I'm reminded of those people that wear T-shirts that say "Nike" or "Adidas" in huge (or small) letters on the shirt. Those people don't seem to lack awareness that their appearance is quite tacky and that they aren't getting paid for the advertisement. Needless to say, you can't wear this thing in public unless you figure out a way to cover the HUGE labels or get replacement velcro straps. This is seriously taking advantage of people who are desperate to escape pain. And the label "Miami J" is on the front as well, although not as conspicuous. It is all very inconsiderate.
