Amazing little stovr
I put off buying this after reading the review saying it's fiddly and covers you with gas but wish I hadn't! There is a twist involved in folding it but it's fine once you've done it once, and the tap is half on to fold it so as long as you turn it to off before screwing it into the gas cannister (as you should with every mini stove) you're grand. There's been way less gas leaking out that with other stoves I've had. Have been brewing up and cooking all weekend in the hills with this, and it'll definitely be coming with me on many future adventures.

Pretty Dissapointing
I bought this as I was intrigued by the design and wanted to try it out for myself. Unfortunately I didn't get as far as to try it out. When it's properly set up, the pot supports wobble independently of the base. The materials used are excellent, but the design and manufacture is incomplete. It either needs a very fine washer or some sort of washer or. more accurate machining, I have returned mine without even getting a chance to light it. I love all the fire maple polaris stoves and even respect the little brs 3000t which they also manufacture. But this has inherent problems which makeo it somewhat unsafe. Not recommended, it could be so much better and should be for the price.

Lightweight titanium stove, good pot stand, not the best wind performance
The media could not be loaded. This little titanium gas stove is very compact and lightweight, the pot stand arms fold out and make quite a Large stand for such a small folding stove , I makes it good for all types of pans including frying pans , the frying pan was sturdy and well balanced on the stove. The stove is lightweight, good for camping and trekking to save weight , it screws onto a gas canister easily. You can turn the flames up and down easily too but there is no piezo ignition, so had to use a lighter. The wind performance isn't the best, best using a windshield or blocking the wind as much as you can with your body , the stove performance drops in the wind and takes longer to cook in windy conditions. You just pull the support arms out a tad pull the stove stand down and twist , then the arms of the pot stand lock in place when you pull them back and the stove pot stand is then nice and flat to place your pan , frying pan on top.For the price it's a good little stove , it's lightweight, easy to use , but not the best in the wind but good to boil water , cook quick meals outdoors on camping trips.

Ultra light, and chucks out the heat.
The media could not be loaded. This isn't the tiniest stove in the world, but it's getting there at only 48grams on my scale. It folds up to easily be carried in your coffee cup, or in the plastic case it's supplied with.To unfold it it takes a bit of a trick, but is easy once you've worked it out. The arms don't just fold out, but are attached to a collar that needs to be rotated just-so to allow the arms to open out. Once they have, they sit in little notches to hold the whole assembly in place. It's actually a really neat design because it means the stove will stay folded up until you need it, and will stay unfolded when you use it.Attached thing gas is dead simple, just make sure the valve is closed, obviously. Spin the canister on to the threaded connector until its tight - like all stoves like this there will be a momentary puff of gas as the connection seals, but no big deal.Obviously a stove this small has no igniter, so you will need a flint or a lighter to get it going. Once you do, the gas is directed from the nozzle in a spiral so the hot gas is very directed upwards. This makes it quite resistant to blowing out in the wind, but I found the space between the jet and the bottom of my pan to be large enough that any wind did tend to blow the hot gas away from the container. A wind shield is fairly essential if you're in any sort of wind, but this isn't unique to this particular stove. The arms fold out and are sturdy enough and large enough to hold quite a large container without too much fear of it toppling over. The regulator is very good, and gives you a lot of control over the level of heat coming out. You can do some 'proper' cooking with this stove as a result and it's much more than just a water heater.Build quality is great - all the joints are secure, and obviously being made from titanium it can take quite a bit of abuse. The only weak spot is the thread on the gas connector, but keeping it in the supplied plastic case will be plenty of security to keeping it in one please. The case also makes it considerably easier to find in you kit, as it's so small, but I wish it was a bright colour. Putting it down to one side in the evening and the black colour will make it ineveitably hard to find again.I've a few Fire Maple bits and pieces and have been impressed with it all. They are excellent value and well made bits of kit, and this little titanium stove is too. Excellent, and recomended.
