Excellent Vivarium for my Royal/Ball Python
My python needed bigger housing and having a quick look on Amazon I came across this Monkfield vivarium.Unknowingly, the one I already had which was purchased from the pet shop at the time I got my snake was the same vivarium as this one, albeit much smaller for an infant snake. The vivarium is very sturdy, fully assembled and is prepared for the insertion/placement of an infrared heat mat underneath. There are four ventilation holes and plenty of glass observing space on both the front and top.The lid is upwards opening and has two secure locking hinges on both sides.Excellent vivarium for the price and just what I was looking for.Jenson the Ball Python seems happy in his new surroundings!5/5 Stars.

The product is not very well made. Wrong material.
It’s not made of oak. It’s chipboard covered in plastic. Very disappointed. There were melamine chipped off some areas of the box.

Brill for my horsefield tortoise
I have a horsefield tortoise. He is 10 years old so not a tiny baby anymore. This is perfect for him. He always had a basking lamp but I decided to try a heat may. Never used one before and the description on here and on the mat didnt really stipulate how to place the mat. (I will review and repeat the message for the mat). I brought a 7w mat. It is small however in regards to the placing of the mat at the back of the tank is 2 glass sheets. The mat is placed between these panes of glass. Therefore terry (my tortoise) can burrow all he wants and he wont ever get to the actual mat. The glass panels are quite large. The mat I brought is about a 3rd of the size allocated. However the glass helps to conduct the heat so although the mat is small, the whole glass panel gets warm. I have only had this set up for 24hrs but I have seen a difference in him. (Currently asleep) but he has eaten and drank well and noticed him exploring more today than is his previous viv which wasnt probably suitable now he is bigger. I have added pictures and I hope this helps you guys looking to buy a new viv. This is also a perfect size to be placed onto of my sons draws, 2 secure fasteners (1 either side) to lock the lid in place if you want to (I have 4 year old so its safer to have him locked than unlocked), it was a little dusty when it came but tbh even if it was clean, i still would have cleaned it again anyway. Also it was very well fastened. Box was surrounded with polystyrene boards then between them and the actual cardboard box was about a thousand polystyrene nuggets so be prepared with a bag when waking the viv out or you will send ages picking them up (like I did 🙄) hope my review has helped u to decide.

Pretty good
Very good vivarium for my baby corn. Still more than enough room for him to grow. Only issues were the hole for the thermometer/thermostat was almost too small for them to go in together. Also the gap for the heat mat doesn’t fit the mat fully so the last inch of it where the wire is sticks out the back. Other than those two problems it’s pretty good

Excellent!
I like the fact that these are already assembled since I'm hopeless at fixing up these kind of things. I'm going to get all the set ups ready before I buy my hog island boas. This is a great starter kit, for hatching snakes, I wouldn't recommend for adult size, but probably perfect for geckos!Over all its a brilliant set up, for keeping your reptile(s) a home of a good habitat. I'd definitely recommend a habitat pulse thermostat, as they seem a lot better than the microclimate for what I've read over the internet.A nice slide at the back too for a heat mat, with a hole for the probe couldn't get any better. It's not necessary, but depending what species, is to buy an LED light, so they get that day cycle, if the room is dark.Overall, an excellent Terrainium for the price and the plus side is you can upgrade to larger Terrainiums of this kind!!!

A must have for a leopard gecko
Delighted with this viv and my lil leopard gecko is happy too. At first he was abit shocked as he had a handmade viv but honestly it was massive n this is perfect for him. The fact you can slide a heat mat in the back is great! Its made very well indeed i am a very happy customer.

Good but becareful !
I like these vivs, handy for hatchling snakes. Just becareful with the tall version as there is a cable hole in back that some smaller species of snake can fit through. The hole needs filling in. For security and peace of mind of would personal stick with the standard size, this was my first time trying a tall and didnt know there was a cable hole in back prior to buying. Overall, good viv though I like the height.

Stylish, modern style home for my gecko
Love this viv. Looks very stylish in my lounge and like that I can see my gecko and give her some natural light through the lid. She seems to like her sunroof!Only drawback is the whole lid opens and the jumping bugs can escape when trying to put them in for gecko to munch. Luckily I've managed to catch them before they took up residence under my sofa.
