The British weather can be more than a little unpredictable... be one step ahead with our dapper StormDefender City umbrella. Our highly engineered umbrellas stand out from the crowd for many reasons: 1) Ribs that encompass fiber glass for superior strength and flexibility. 2) Vented canopy to combat inversion damage. 3) Generous 134cm canopy arc when open with a 110cm diameter. 4) When closed, the umbrella measures 96cm from tip to handle. 5) Traditional solid wood hook handle for timeless elegance. 6) Automatic - This umbrella opens at the touch of a button, quite unusual for a larger umbrella! 7) Strong fiber glass shaft giving the umbrella superior core stability. 8) Two straps to secure the canopy when closed and slip cover included. 9) TIP - Always dry the umbrella in the open position to avoid frame deterioration. 10) A generous amount of fiber glass has been used to construct the ribs of this umbrella meaning the frame is both strong and flexible. This sign of quality demonstrates that we never compromise on the quality or quantity of materials used. It's the above attention to detail and drive for quality that sets our umbrellas apart. Best customer service ever
really good looking well made umbrella doing the job even in quite strong winds!I bought this umbrella over a year ago, recently it started leaking along the tip and water was coming down the central pole. I've contacted the Collar And Cuffs even if it was way after any warranty period and they immediately offered a replacement send to me (did not need the old one just couple of pictures of my old umbrella) as they said this should never happened and they are proud of quality of their product.I have to say I was really impressed with quality and politeness of their customer support, hence 5 stars even if my first umbrella wasn't really perfect.

Very good traditional brolly ☂️
Excellent traditional brolly ☔️I’ve been using it for 3 years, and it’s still as good as new. It’s blown inside-out just the once, and I was able to point it into the wind, so it put itself right straightaway, without any breakages. The curved handle makes it comfortable to hold, handy to hang up, and it can also be used as an impromptu walking stick; it’s strong enough, and the metal tip prevents any damage.Sadly, mine has recently been half-inched by my father - after his (not so good) one collapsed in the wind (“You haven’t got a spare brolly, have you? What about this one? It looks just right for me - you don’t mind, do you?”)OK, I’ll just have to get another one - and it’s definitely going to be this exact same one. I like it, and so does my father. 🙄

Sturdy, beautifully made, well designed umbrella
This is beautifully made. I've used it on very windy days in open fields in the pouring rain and it is light and elegant to use. It springs open and closes smoothly. Probably the best umbrella I've ever bought. If you are using it in the city it wraps neatly into a light elegant thin walking stick/umbrella. Withstands heavy rain and fairly windy gusts. A good buy, worth the money.

Amazing customer service and great product
I previously reviwed this item and unfaily gave it a two rating, without giving the supplier a chance to rectify the problem I had. The umbrella with the wooden handle unfortunately chips rather easily, the handle is in fact made of wood thoughout, but a much lighter wood which has been vanished. Thus when chipped, it can look a bit battered. On explaining this to the supplier, they kindly offered to swap it out for one with a leather handle. The quality of the unbrella is perfect, you really do get what you pay for. It feels sturdy and has so far stood up againt a failry windy and rainy day. Would definitely recomend to friends and family. A quality purchase and first class customer service.

Fantastic build and does what it's supposed to.
The length of the one I bought was perfect for me and having used it recently in the rain and relatively strong winds, it seemed to hold up very well where other, smaller umbrellas or ones without the vents that this has, would fold in on themselves. I'm not sure whether it will stay that way forever but I will be testing it out more in time to come as the weather is getting poo again now. I'm amazed by an umbrella that filters the wind so that it doesn't break or fold out. On my last one which was similar to this but a different brand, the ribs at the tip of the canopy would come out often, leaving it floppy. I don't seem to get that with this one. Or with smaller umbrellas, sometimes the stretchers would break which also doesn't seem to be an issue here. The reason I gave 'sturdiness' 4 out of 5 stars is because the light-brown, wooden handle can get scratched/dented and looks like it could snap quite easily. There was a hairline fracture on mine when I bought it and I don't think the wood they use is tough/thick enough to withstand a lot. My previous umbrella had a stronger wooden handle. But hopefully it'll last and the hairline fracture won't become a split in the wood. The design is brilliant though and it seems to do what it was intended, which is withstand wind and keep you dry of course! I would definitely recommend it as it completely covers me (I am 6ft 2 with wide shoulders) with enough room for someone else to share. The 'Collars and Cuffs London' embossing on the wooden handle adds a nice, classy touch to it in my opinion, makes it feel slightly more prestigious and stands out. I don't think £25 is really breaking the bank either for a large, strong umbrella. Great buy.

Great gift for the elderly gentleman.
I got this for my dad for Christmas, and now he's used it, I'm pleased the feedback is very good. The best part is the high-quality feel, he has trouble with his legs and does need to use a walking stick at times, and this doubles up very well indeed.I found this item after a google search and was amongst a 10 list of umbrellas. Please with item, and happy for once I got a present that will be used.

Excellent Customer Service
We bought 3 of these for Christmas gifts and they're amazing! They look smart and are incredibly strong. One of the handles was split (this stuff happens) but Collars and Cuffs dealt with the problem extremely efficiently and professionally. We would have no hesitation in recommending them as a company or the umbrellas as products.

Great umbrella... Dad was really pleased!
Bought as a gift for my Dad who wanted a sturdy umbrella for walking the dog, but not as cumbersome as a golf umbrella. It seems a very well made item, the automatic opening is lovely and smooth and the canopy is sturdy & a good domed shape. Looks elegant, and the wooden handle with the engraved lettering is a nice design touch. He was extremely pleased with it, and I'm optimistic it will be as good in action too!
