Smart Light Bulb Socket,SONOFF Slampher E27 LED WiFi Light Bulb Adapter Lamp Holder Works with Alexa and Google Home,433MHz RF & APP Remote Control,Voice Control,Timer Function,No Hub Required

My device worked well for about 2 weeks. It connected well with Google Home, and worked on command. However, recently, I came home, asked Google to turn on the light, and heard a click, but the light did not come on. I look at the light fitting, and noticed that the collar around the bulb had melted and fused onto the bulb. It seemed as though the device was overheating to the extent where it was melting itself. This does not bode well for a main light fixture that was live 24/7.I immediately unplugged it and am returning it immediately. A huge safety risk, and could potentially result in fire. Really disappointed by this experience, as it started promisingly.

I bought two smart bulb socket because I wanted a smart lamp with a higher wattage than what was available on the market. It sounded so perfect: making your own bulbs in existing lamps smart.I had already some other wifi smart lamps, so I am not new to installing smart devices, but shamefully enough, I never managed to get the bulb sockets connected to my router. I followed the instructions and my routers suit the requirements, but I was just not able to connect them.I tried to install them on different lamps, and I even tried different routers, but both smart bulb sockets never connected. After hours of trying I binned the sockets. It was a complete waste of money and time for me.

So far so good.I bought this last week on 04/07/2018 even though I was quite sceptical if it would work. I'm pleased to report it's working fine. Had a bit of a hick up on Friday, when it didn't switch on neither using google home nor it's own app. I could hear the click sound going off but the light bulb didn't light up.I thought it might be because of the bulb but I bought this brand new (30w energy saver) on the same date or the socket just died. I didn't bother checking it then. But after 20 minutes when I tried to switch it on, it worked! So not sure what could have happened. It happened only on one instance. Hoping it doesn't happen again..

Much cheaper than a smart bulb, ideal for floor standing lamps and similar. The itead app is easy to synch even though it's not a good looking app. Schedules and scenes work well with other itead smart switches, and integration with Google Home make it easy to use good commands with.I've heard bad things about their server reliability, but I intend to flash the firmware eventually anyway. In the short term they've been working fine for me with the out of the box firmware.Very good value for money if you want to try some smart home kit without spending a lot of money.

Very pleased with the Sonoff bulb holder, works well with Alexa. The only thing is the holder is slightly bigger than I thought. Also I don't understand how the description of how it works with the 433MHz R/F, I presume you need to get a remote made by Sonoff but I can't see one listed.The setup to use with the app was straight forward, as was getting my Amazon Echo to operate It. I can recommend this as a good buy.

The device works fine, but my package come without manual. I have to spend sometime to figure out how to set it up. Also there is no remote control coming with it as I thought (some pictures are misleading). Without manual, it will be even harder to get a correct remote control working with it.

Love this, forget wireless switches that don't work without a neutral at the switch, which most UK homes don't have, this device negates all of that and works perfectly. Took me 2 minutes to install and configure. Brilliant

Pretty easy to set up doesn’t require hub either, At times that can be a bit sluggish app but apart from that works perfectly
