I made this meal of grilled tofu, chili jam and vegetable salad for vegetarian friends and they were very impressed by the presentation. The serving dishes are made of high quality material and look wonderful

These plates have to be the prettiest that I have ever seen, and I am a fairly picky person. First off, they are sizable. You can definitely fit quite a few sushi rolls on these babies. The bottoms have lips to raise them slightly off the table, and weight wise, they are quite substantial. The texture is rough, and I love it. Not smooth and shiny like so many serving platters, it gives these platters depth. The paint splatter and drops look so cool and elegant, and I love the blue color. Trust me and get these, you will not be disappointed. Perfect for get togethers, these are sure to impress your guests. These plates are so attractive, I actually gasped when I pulled them from the box.

This is a beautiful 4-piece set of serving platters made of heavy porcelain with a painted design. They measure 15" x 6" and look like works of art. The bottom side has a ridge around the base that is slightly raised making it easy to pick them up and carry. They are great for parties, guests or special occasions when you want to serve appetizers or individual treats. The plates came well packaged, wrapped in cardboard and divided by styrofoam panels.

These platters are the most beautiful I have seen so far, and I have seen a lot! When I took them out of the box I felt I had a work of art in my hands. Will I use these works of art for food? Of course I will. Next week I am planning to make sushi and, if all goes well, I intend using these beauties. They are pretty heavy, but who cares!

Dark Night BlueThese are so beautiful – they look even better then the Amazon photos. It is hard to capture the beautiful dark blue with the texture of the plates. They are big & they are heavy. I will mainly use these for serving appetizers to guests & also sushi/sashimi. These will be beautiful with cheese/crackers/fruit/veg/nuts/nibbles when we have guests over for drinks.They are very textural with grooves cut into the clay & then glazed. There is a bit of imperfection in the grooves on 2 of my plates - some are not glazed completely. They have barely-there edges – just enough to keep a bit of moisture on the plate & the food from just sliding off. They go thru the dishwasher fine.They came really well packed with Styrofoam all around the sides & thick cardboard between each plate.

This arrived very fast . But they did have defects and damage.* Seems a lot of housewares items are sent to me this way*. There are areas of the matte' paint missing on both plates. I really love the concept of this set and wanted to gift this, but couldn't due to it less than perfect condition on arrival. So, I can only give this 3 stars because quality control on this item
