Had a repair (con)man come out to give me an estimate on my recently out of warranty 6 year old fridge. Charged me $130 for the visit but they would deduct that from the $1,300 repair quote to replace the failed compressor. Told him to forget it. Twice what I was even willing to pay. Watched a couple videos, tested the compressor on my own. Compressor passed, it is fine. It was this part that failed. Took me 20 minutes to install, plugged it in, flipped the power switch and Bingo, cooled to 36 degrees in an hour. Moral of the story, I cost myself time and $130 messing with a con man.
