Awesome trying, well made worth it!
When my husband and I started looking into upgrading our kitchen, after a bit more learning about the induction technology and searching reviews, we found ChangBERT, it seemed like a great deal and a good way to test out the technology, but honestly, it delivers far more than I expected for the price. I love making breakfast with my wide skillet, cooking eggs evenly across the entire surface, the heat reached way past the center, even around the edges, so the coil is definitely not the small kind people worry about, real 8-inch coil as advertised, nice heat distribution. Controlling the temperature accurately, heat stays gentle and steady, perfect for omelets or pancakes. Then when I switch to HEAT mode, it ramps up quickly for boiling or searing. Water for pasta or coffee comes to a full boil in seconds. A few reviews mentioning noise, but after using it myself, just low noise while it runs, sometimes the huming is from the cookware I think. For something at this price, the performance has been amazing. We went in just hoping to “try out” induction, but now we use it more than our gas stove.

Great for canning and slow cooking
I mainly bought this for canning and long simmer recipes for the thanksgiving party, and it’s been such a pleasant surprise. The big heating coil is awesome, my 8qt stockpot sits on it perfectly, and the whole bottom heats evenly instead of just the middle. It warms up fast, which is great when you’re trying to get a big pot of water ready for jars. Once it reaches the temp I need, it holds steady for hours. I’ve done chicken broth, chili, and a big batch of apple butter on it, and everything cooked low and slow without scorching or randomly boiling over. Super easy to use, heats evenly, and the temperature stays right where you set it. Honestly, for the price, it’s a fantastic little cooker for anyone who cans or slow-cooks at home.

Good product, full 8 inch coil
Great value for the money. I originally bought this cooktop for my RV because it looked portable and easy to travel with, but after testing it, I started using it at home almost every day. What really won me over is how steady and accurate the temperature control is. When I set a heat level, it actually stays there, no jumping, no overheating, no cycling that throws off the cooking. The big heating coil makes a huge difference too. I make giant pancakes on a 12-inch pan, and the edges brown evenly instead of turning pale while the center cooks too fast. I’ve used it for long cooking sessions, and the heat stays consistent. Whether I’m searing meat on the grill pan or simmering soup in a large pot, it keeps a steady output without struggling. I originally thought this would be something I packed away for road trips, but now it stays out on my kitchen counter full-time.

ChangBERT
Love the name: ChangBert. Wanted to keep it just for the name! This is not a bad induction hot plate by the current standards for induction hot plates; price, quality, function-although as far as quality goes this thing is in the realm of maybe, maybe not. These things are replete with failures; lots of brands. It seems to me that for people who want to “sear” meat forget it; go outside and build yourself a fire because you are going to kill your hot plate trying to max the thing. Temperature control stinks, I think they all do. They tend to overshoot bye a mile, at least before your pan is hot, then cut back. The machine can only read the temperature through the glass so get over it. Or spend an outrageous amount of money and maybe… The cooking ring on this appliance IS larger than my D’top, however not as large as advertised. The unit IS quiet, so hallelujah on that. The reason for the return is lack of “grunt.” My first impression was that it did not boil water as quickly or maintain a rolling boil (at least with large pots of water which is one of the reasons you buy these things). A medium boil I would say that took 20 to 30% longer than my equivalent wattage D’top. However the fan noise on my D-top unit is ridiculous, like microwave ridiculous. However, more grunt and I wear hearing protection. Maybe that noisy fan keeps the thing from frying; time will tell. Close, ChangBERT, close. For intimate hot pots this thing is probably the bomb because at least one can have a conversation while it operates. For those who want to “can,” use a pressure cooker, or make beer, or cook corn, lobster, move on. Or, make a liar out of me. Not a bad machine, it’s just that I thought it could replace my current appliance that theoretically could last ten years, however the odds are against such longevity. Cheers!

Easy to use and feels solid
Works exactly as advertised. After moving into an apartment, I really couldn’t stand cooking on the electric stove, so I picked up this portable induction cooktop to try before deciding whether to invest in a full 30-inch induction range oven. The sleek design doesn’t take up much counter space, and it heats fast, the controls are very intuitive - actually better in some ways. The stainless steel top feels solid and durable, especially compared to plastic burners that can warp or melt over time. It also handles heavy pots with no issues. After a few days of regular use, it definitely feels like a true “pro-level” cooktop.

The 1800W power and large 8” heating coil heat up liquids and pans almost instantly
the ChangBERT Induction Cooktop has exceeded all my expectations. The 1800W power and large 8” heating coil heat up liquids and pans almost instantly, saving a significant amount of time during busy periods. The precision control is fantastic, allowing me to maintain a consistent temperature for even delicate sauces. The premium stainless steel countertop burner is not only durable and easy to clean, but it also looks very professional. The NSF certification was a huge selling point for me, as it assures me of its safety and quality for commercial use. The 10-hour timer is a practical feature that gives me peace of mind when slow-simmering dishes. It's portable enough to take to events but powerful enough to handle all my cooking needs.

The product looks fine. Looks like a professional kitchen induction but i cannot use it. I tried to buy universal socket cause its China plug which is not compatible here in AE, it opens but still it still shows error. I cant use it so I return.

This is an amazing cooktop. I love it cuz it is very easy to use. Yesterday, I cooked taco meat on it using my 12 inch fry-pan. It heats up fast and the meat didn't stick and turned out great, even when I cook large steaks, it handles them perfectly, thanks to its large 8 inch coil as advertised and heating evenly are really important for me. My favorite thing about its perfect temperature control, when I set it to a certain level to sear meat, then drop it down for adding sauce and broth, JUICY MEAT EVERY TIME!!! By the way, the cooktop is very quiet, I think it is no hum actually while it works, which makes cooking a lot more pleasant. I am very happy with my purchase, this cooktop is well worth the price.

Very well packaged NSF rated professional induction cooktop. I bought this mostly for the size and power. I’ve been using a one-burner Oster for years, but it just wasn’t made to handle my larger pans — anything over 9 inches would take forever to heat evenly. This unit has no problem with my 12” sauté pan or stockpot. It heats fast, stays consistent, and has enough wattage to actually cook instead of just warming. Sleek-looking and simple to set up. The controls are simple, and it doesn’t take up much space. For how solid it feels, it’s still easy to move around when I need to— I’ve even used it outside for prep work when our kitchen was full. All in all, this is a great option if you want something with a bit more muscle than typical home models, but without going full commercial countertop size. I bought it when there was a $ off coupon 3 months ago,but even the regular price is well worth it.

This cooktop has been such a good addition to my kitchen. I love HEAT mode for fast cooking, it heats up super fast, I can fill a large pot with water for noddles and it’s already boiling in just a few minutes. I’ve used it for making soups and the heat control has been right on point every time. The temperature stays precise once it’s set, much better control than regular cooktop, no need to keep adjusting. I really notice the difference in temperature control when cooking dishes that need longer simmering, like stew and sous vide cooking, it maintain a consistent temperature perfectly about several hours without boiling over. My 10-inch Dutch oven fits nicely on the surface and heats evenly across the whole bottom, the heating area is large enough to make the perfect dishes. It stays nice and quiet while running, just a light fan sound that doesn’t bother me at all. Get what you pay for and good value of money, it performs like a much more expensive unit.
