Maybe I got lucky? Mine works great. The connecting wires may be an 1/8 of an inch too long so I had to bend them a little to get them in , but I'd rather have them too long than too short. Other than that, the battery is working fine. It is holding a charge and battery life is comparable to the OEM one when that was new. I get between 2-3 hours of moderate usage such as when word processing and maybe 1.5 hours of watching videos with loud sound and bright contrast. This isn't great by modern standards but this is not the fault of the battery but rather the engineering of the laptop itself.

Bought this to replace an original T470s battery that finally failed. If replacing your own battery sounds daunting, don't sweat it. The battery came with a small screwdriver and tool to help you get the case apart, and once you do that it's straight-forward, and it's an exact fit. This was a much less expensive option than OEM, and the run-time on the laptop is back to something approaching when it was new, which is several hours. Given that the T470s is now a years-old platform, I was just looking to extend the life of mine for another year or two for as little money as possible. This accomplished that goal.

The first time I received the battery would not charge in the laptop. This is a lithium Ion battery and if it is allowed to discharge below a certain level, it won't take a charge. You may notice lithium Ion drill stop working suddenly as it a switch was turned off. There's a battery circuit that does disconnect when a minimum voltage level is reached in the battery to prevent it from dropping below critical. If these batteries are left on the shelf too long they may discharge below that level (internal resistance). So, the only feasible way out is to return it and get another. Don't blame the distributor... it happens. The second worked just fine. Amazon customer service it a good thing.

I have a T470s, and this battery was initially seen by my laptop after installation. I havent needed my laptop much so it sat a while in between uses, but I think I've used it only 3 or 4 times before my computer could no longer see it. It no longer charges, and my laptop gives me an error every time I start it now, with only one battery working. It just suddenly died. I reinstalled it, Updated things, cycled... nothing. I guess you get what you pay for.

Perfect fit for my computer

The batteries charged fine, getting a little over three hours of life in my laptop. However, one battery wouldn't seat properly and would disconnect, making the laptop instantly shut off. I was able to scavenge an old dead battery for its case, which fixed this issue.You get what you pay for. This'll do in a pinch, but spend a little more money on a version with better tolerances if you can.
