Wonderful book
I wanted to read it and I received it as a gift....love it. It is full of twists and turns and always gives your heart a pinch of courage and most importantly there is mention of lots of food and drinks which I want to taste now.

Not the real book
Found out this book is just an expensive photocopy when I went to exchange this book at a second hand store. It has no edition, publisher information, etc. (I doubled checked at two places both said the book was fake).Cannot comment on the book's content because the copy I received may not contain the orginal book's complete content.

A Tale of Winter and the Truth! Fantastic!
What an epic story, and it is so fitting to read during the winter season. The author did a wonderful job with the characters, the world of Winter, and the many parallels with bubkical stories. It has definitely been enjoyable to read as a reader and inspiring as a writer. So much skill, and such a fantastic story. A New favourite series for sure! "A Soul as Cold as Frost" is deserving of a 5-star, and I truly recommend it!

Absolutely magical!
i bought this book for my 12 year old niece but decided to read it myself first. i always struggle w the first few chapters of a book (all the backstory & character development) but it was intriguing from the beginning w echoes of prayers, christmas rhymes & clever characters. it was a fun adventure w sprinklings of allegory that would make CS Lewis smile. i’ve already ordered the next book & can’t wait to give this one to my niece!

Magnificent adventure of snow and ice.
I consumed this book like fast food, though my tastebuds still tingle with the delectable flavours each character added to the fair. It created a veritable feast for my soul and imagination as I slipped into this world of snow and ice created by Jennifer Kropf, drawn irresistibly down the snow-covered streets of Waterloo. She paints her uncharted world so magnificently that you are left yearning for more as your heart races along with this swift-footed, iridescent adventure of sweetness and high stakes. Her world is an authentic one, even if it’s lived in a ghostly realm glimpsed between the intersects of time, where Rime stores and extraordinary characters are inconspicuously tucked inside the cracks of the real world. Sorry, but Harry Potter has nothing on Winter and the two opposing kingdoms of Red and Green. I went willingly along with Helen Bell, the unsuspecting protagonist who, so often overlooked in her own world, suddenly becomes the most important person of all Winter. In all innocence, she is handed an orb by a strange woman who bumps into her one frosty evening and illuminates her Trite eyes to another, impossible world taking place around her. This seemingly innocuous incident becomes the catalyst for Zane, a disillusioned Patrolman, to give her his whole attention, especially as the realisation strikes him she is the last Carrier of Truths and therefore requires his protection. These two realistic characters are rich in personality, contrasts and undeniable attraction. As dangers close in around them, they are forced to flee pursuing horrors in a pirouette of ice skating and dance through the frosted countryside and glimmering towns and cities. The dangerous nature of their flight from sinister characters such as the Snow Queen and Jolly Cheat is beautifully executed. They leapt off the page into my life, their pirouettes resonating inside me in a snip snap of marvellous adventures equal to great traditional tales such as C. S. Lewis’s Narnian novels.Thank you for this sweet and marvellous treat!
