I bought these to stop "The Cat" pushing open the windows and going for a walk on the roof! I had looked around for a solution to this problem. The alternatives available were very expensive. These are purrfect and relatively inexpensive. They are easy to fit and they work.I would suggest you drill a small pilot hole before screwing in the "self drilling screws" as UVPC is quite hard and unforgiving. If you want a smaller gap attach one end above the window catch and one below it so the cord is diagonal. A small cat may be able to get through the gap left if the cord is horizontal.Overall a good buy.

I am really impressed with this product, and I don't say that often. Not only is it great quality and gives a peace of mind concerning security, but it is super easy to install. The self-screwing screws are a genius invention and took seconds to screw in with just a plain old Phillips-head screwdriver. It's such a pleasure these days getting a product that meets and exceeds expectations.

Top knotch! Safe. Easy to fit and well worth what I paid. I wasn't sure at first but after installation and checking with extreme force that a child couldn't bash them open, I feel safe that my three year old grandson is able to play in his room with the window open enough for fresh air but not enough for danger.

Easy to fit, strong, good amount of opening whilst being safe for kids. Keys are a little small so could be a bit tricky in the event of an emergency... just remember to keep keys near... i blue tacked them to the top of the door frames.

I'm terrible at DIY but did find the installation of these locks easy with just a screw driver on UPVC windows. I've leaned into the windows to see how strong the lock and cable is and it is holding firm. Maximum stars for fast delivery, ease of installation and robustness. The only downside will be the holes it leaves in the window frames when we take them off - something for the future.

I bought and installed these not for security but to keep my cats in when I open the windows!They're really easy to fit, although I admit that on two windows where the drill just *wouldn't* go in deep enough, I cheated with No-Nails.Very easy to fit; drill the cable area, attach it, work out how far you want the window open (2-3 fingers in my case), use a felt tip through the locking part, drill, screw, attach and cover.I cannot recommend these enough.

Good product. Easy to fit. Using them on patio doors, and widows. Means you can have the doors and windows open slightly, and no one can get in. Very pleased.

Items come without fitting instructions and as a previous reviewer said the end of the cable end protrudes too far preventing the bracket seating flush on the window. It needs around 1mm grinding off before they can be fitted. Seems to be a cost cut too far that has badly affected quality or a very large batch quality problem. They do work once modified but its a pain to do.

Son muy prácticos. Fácil de instalar. Puedo tener la ventana un poco abierta, ventilando y estar tranquila de que el pequeño no me de un susto. Son resistentes y fáciles de manipular con la llave. La pega es que tienes que hacer agujero pero merece mucho la pena si prefieres seguridad a estética.
