Lenovo high quality, but adopting to a Chromebook is no easy task for Windows users.
I can't compare this to other Chromebooks, but it has the Lenoci build and performance quality I've come to expect and value. I bought this as a second laptop (my top-of-the-range Lenovo notebook is is attached to a charging and port expander hub). I didn't realise how much of a learning curve adapting to the Chrome operating system and functionality would be. I have to keep consulting a search engine for solutions to everyday functions. It's probably as good a Chromebook as you can get, but Windows (and I presume Mac) users beware - don't expect to plug and play.

Great product for the price!
I'm thrilled with this Chromebook! I picked it up so I'd have something to use for work when I was away for Christmas. I specifically wanted something with a touch screen, trackpad and keyboard, and Chrome OS (which I'd never actually used before). It's really important to get the latest Chrome OS update once you receive the Chromebook, as this will update the browser and enable Android apps to be installed in addition to Chrome apps. Until I noticed there was an option to update, I was a bit concerned about how limited the choice of Chrome apps were and how Spotify was telling me that I couldn't use the web player in Chrome web browser. All of this was solved after installing the update. Additionally, if you suspect you'll need root access to the device at any point, make sure to enable Developer Mode *before* installing all the apps and everything - as this will reset the device. You'll need root access if you ever want to install Android apps that aren't in the Play Store (i.e. from "untrusted locations"). The hardware itself is fast and responsive, and switching between laptop and tablet modes works very well, with the keyboard disabled as soon as you swivel it around. The touch screen does not work well with electronic capacitor pens (the kind that are powered with a tiny stylus tip), so if you're looking to use it for drawing with a fine-tipped stylus then you'd probably be better off with a device more dedicated to that - although there's a perfectly good USB port that could be used with a graphics tablet. In laptop mode, the keyboard and trackpad are excellent, and I had very little problem typing with quite large hands. Having just 27GB~ of storage space (subtracting the space used for pre-installed apps) worried me a bit, but it's been plenty of storage so far and I've installed quite a few different apps. Practically everything runs and works fine offline, and any work you do in Google apps will sync to cloud storage as soon as you go online. My only small gripe is that to expand the storage, you need to use an SD card (not a MicroSD card) and, once inserted, the SD card sticks out a bit. Since I bought a tight fitting pouch to put the Chromebook in, it means I have to remove the SD card every time I want to put the thing away. If you've never used Chrome OS (like me), it's pretty quick to get used to and feels intuitive, especially the gestures you can use while browsing.

Brilliant little rugged laptop. Wish they were still available.
This laptop is great. I've owned mine for a few years and had no issues. I take it abroad as it's light & compact but also very rugged. My son has been using it (bashing and droping it) over the lockdown, but it is still in perfect condition. I want to buy another but don't think the manufacture them anymore. 😩

Is windows 10 download preinstalled on this device ?
I find the speed of start up astounding (8 seconds). The sound quality is amazing, This little unit is well made and extremely tough. Screen brightness is excellent. I only have it on 40% and the screen is crystal clear. Overall i rate this 4/5.

A great value chrome book.
I bought this to replace a chrome book that got damaged by a liquid spill. This claims to have spill protection although I am not going to deliberately test it! The screen is smaller than my last one but it is big enough and being a touch screen is a big advantage. I like to use it as a tablet and it is great for showing other people photos.

Best laptop ever!
Best laptop ever, I have the ASUS Flip Chromebook and now this, I must say, very fun and powerful laptop. I can do everything I needed, its more powerful and the screen is so much better. Highly recommended for businessmen and people doing work on the move.
