Joseph Joseph Dash Pestle and Mortar, Natural Granite with Bamboo lid, spice grinder and herb crusher

Looks lovely on display in the kitchen and it is great for doing what it is supposed to do. Sturdy and well made.

Fab quality and very useful

This is a vey handsome looking product and beautifully designed, as are most of Joseph Joseph products and it is so practical. Apart from providing a holder for the pestle, which is genius, the lid fits snugly into the mortar and keeps the spices that bit fresher. The bowl is also a very practical shape. The straighter sides mean that contents are more contained as you grind the seeds. This product is definitely for the keen cook and not everyone would want to be bothered using it. It is also very heavy, which it needs to be, but that prove difficult to use by someone with poor strength. It is also quite pricey, although I bought it at a reduced price and love it!

Very happy with this product Pros ….. sturdy and a decent size for grinding without overspill. Everything feels sturdy and quality. Looks great and when not in use for grinding, I use it to store garlic cloves / bulbs. Grinder sits neatly in the cradle in the wooden lid which also looks good. All in all it looks good and does a good job. Cons …. It’s very heavy so might not suit folk with weak / sore or stiff hands. Could do real damage if you dropped it but this actually adds to the stability so it’s a personal choice really.

Really solid and well-made pestle and mortar — the granite feels high-quality and has a good weight to it, which makes grinding spices and herbs easy and satisfying. The bamboo lid is a nice touch for keeping things tidy and can even double as a small tray. Only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is that it’s a bit heavy to move around, and the lid doesn’t seal tightly. Still, it looks great on the counter and does its job perfectly. A stylish, practical addition to any kitchen!

A well built and solid mortar and pestle which will last for many years to come. It's more expensive than others but it's design is nice and that's what you are paying the extra for. The only negative I have is that the pestle is quite short and can be uncomfortable to hold after quite a lot of pounding the food but I have large hands so might not be an issue for everyone. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

杵月餅が食べたいと言われてもちつき機を買うほどでもないので、これでやってみたらどう?って言って試してみたら普通に出来た。たまに家族が一人餅つきやってる笑
