Swizzels Sweet Candy Assorted Mini Me Chew Bars 500g Bag

Seeing other reviews I was worried what I would receive but the sweets all arrived wrapped properly and tasted just as good as I remembered.

If you're over 35 and grew up in England, you need to buy this bag of nostalgia. They are exactly as I remember them, even the elusive "snap crackle" bar which doesn't seem to have evolved into the 21st century like the refreshers and drumsticks have done. And the bag lasted a good few months, there's loads in there.

My first review got blocked by Amazon.I have eaten Swizzel sweets all my life and these are the first ones that have no taste whatsoever.I contacted the manufacturer and have sent them back to them to see if they are the genuine article or not.After this purchase, I bought a 3kg bag from Amazon just to double check and there were no comparison between tasty and no taste.There are 2 photos uploaded with this review; one showing the different products and the second of just one sweet unwrapped.The unwrapped sweet from the 3kg bag was brittle like always where the one from this batch sent to Swizzles was bendy. I had a few others from the 3kg and all were brittle (different flavours).The colour looks almost identical. The one that is mishaped (not rectangular) is the one from this product (no Swizzles on the bag) and is the one that will bend not shatter.In the 40+ years of eating sweets, these are the first, I have sent back to the manufacturer. Although, I have sent crisps back (half a mouse found in Tesco S+V) and awful quality McCoys S+V (just black potatoes and no taste)In their original reply, Swizzle did say they cannot trace the 500g bag I bought on here, even when given the seller's information. Of course that doesnt mean the seller is bogus, just didnt buy them directly from Swizzle-Matlow.I am not sure if I will be allowed to update this with the results of their findings, but lets just say reporting this item to Amazon, got me a refund.One more thing. Other people have added seller feedback that the sweets have no taste or taste like dishwater. So, please make up your own mind.For now. Buy the ones in the Swizzles bag.
