Tried this now on a couple food items that tend to float in the sous vide. Wasn’t sure it would be heavy enough for some things i tried to weigh down in the past, but so far it’s working well. I tried following online suggestions to put a towel or towels on top of the cooking item or items, but that was clumsy, and I found I had to use a very big towel or multiple towels to hold the product down. This chain link weight stayed in place and held the products down.

I use this netting every time I use my sous vide to keep my jars from floating. It’s heavy enough to keep my two jars in place. It doesn’t rust & is easy to use. The quality is very good.

I use this once, and was very impressed. Just got my sous vide, and have been trying different meats and vegetables. This appears to be very good quality, and very effective in keeping items submerged. Although the magnets do not stick to the stainless steel, they were strong enough to stick to each other, through the neoprene sleeve that I have around my sous vide basin to hold my bag of honey butter carrots under water attached to the side of the basin.

The stainless mat is the perfect size for the container I use to sous vide. Anything that floats is easily covered, and holds the food under the surface, and usually to the bottom.

This sous vide weight net makes sous vide cooking so much easier. Product comes just like described with a net and 5 blue magnets. I just received this a month ago and have already used it several times. You can either wrap the net around your food bags, or just lay it on top, both will submerge the bags under water and cook my food evenly. The magnets work well as just added weights, but I definitely recommend using them to attach bags to the side of the sous vide container. You put one magnet on the outside, attach another magnet with the bag on the inside, and this also keeps the bags under water. When you’re done cooking, you can just rinse the net and magnets under hot water. Since it’s stainless steel, everything comes off very easily. This product has been such a help when it comes to my sous vide cooking!!!!

Chainmail + magnets. I ordered both to give me options. But, the chainmail seems heavy enough that I may never need the really small magnets. I was just looking to buy the magnets, but this set with net AND magnets is way more worth it! The magnets themselves are already pretty spendy, so I figured I better buy both net and magnets now. For the quality, the price is more than ok!!
