Crucial RAM CT2K51264BD160B 8 GB Kit (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1600 MHz CL11 Desktop Memory, Green

I doubled the RAM on my old desktop from 8GB with this 16GB kit from Crucial. The difference it made was instantly apparent. Apps and web pages now load and open so much faster and smoother than before. I should have done this upgrade ages ago.

I bought 2 (4 cards in total) of these as a bit of a punt. My PC had 16GB at 1333MHz memory installed and I wanted to upgrade to 32GB at 1600MHz. When I tried to see if my PC would accept the upgrade the manufacturer's web site was no help. Some of the support and help pages said you could and some said you couldn't. It was a similar story with some of the forums I looked at. I ran a Crucial scan and it told me that I could upgrade so I went ahead and bought them. They had to come from Italy so were held up for a couple of days due to Niggle Farcearse, UKraP and Brexshit but they arrived a day earlier than estimated. It took about ten minutes to instal them. The only reason it took that long was because a, I was working in my own light and b, one of the slots was partially under the hard drive cage. When I fired the machine up it accepted them. There is a great difference of the PC's performance.

After buying the wrong hardware, this arrived promptly and was really easy to install, fixing my issue with my PC. My computer now runs much more smoothly. Very happy with the purchase :)

For web browsing

So previously I bought the ram for upto 32GB of around 3600Mhx 2x16GB patriot but it didn't fit nor it was supported so I was kinda little mad at myself until like a year later my friend comes to tell me to use "CrucialScanner" it scans your system for the most perfect highest upgrades your computer can use and I was astonished! Bought the ram 3 days ago and I was nervous it wouldn't fit but it fit and made all my applications run even faster and more ram for everything as now my PC has successfully been fully upgraded!I highly recommend using CrucialScanner for those who don't know what parts are upgradable or not.

easy to install

This was delivered within 3 days, which was much quicker than I expected, and it worked as expected.The price could be a cheaper as this is old memory tech these days, but I'm not complaining as I bought it at the price on offer, just knocking one star off.Use the Crucial system scanner to check for memory compatibility with your existing motherboard, on the Crucial . com site and look for system scanner, to be sure this will work for you.When installing, you need to press down quite firmly to ensure the card(s) are seated correctly. You will know it's right when the clips for holding the card in place, rise up and clamp down as you press.

Whilst I have a reasonable amount of practical competence I am not an electronics engineer and was more than a little apprehensive about fitting these to my 9 year old Dell. I watched and read every piece of information I could find and decided I would go for it. I followed the instructions to the letter and used tips I had found in my research, like ‘don’t use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust from inside’. The old memory came out easily, the new went in without a problem having made sure they were paired correctly. Cover on, power on and away it went! The first time it was switched on it was a little slow to start up but no problems after that. The memory is recognised, all seems to be good, and I am both relieved and pleased.

Booted right up. Replaced the original and inadequate 4gb with this 16gb kit and computer is much faster because Windows 10 is not swapping memory to the slow hard drive. Almost didn't need to upgrade to an SSD but that made it even faster. Snappy like a new computer.

Very easy install and works well with lenovo desktop.Memory modules came in plastic casing with part number sticker, but no seal on it.Not sure if that is a standard factory packing method for crucial memory modules.Actual memory modules had the proper stickers.First time buy of this brand based on relaibility reputation

Obwohl die Riegel gebraucht gekauft worden sind, machen sie ihren Job wunderbar. Wurden direkt erkannt im System und damit kann ich meinen PC nun endlich ein wenig mehr belasten.
