I am not sure if it is gluten free. You are not really supposed to ingest it, though I imagine there is the possibility of that happening due to the fact that it is applied to your lips and you might lock them from time to time. What I can tell you is that it went on smoothly and lasted for hours. I was a mermaid in a parade and it withstood the heat, sweat, and me drinking feom a water bottle all day. It is not advertised as long wearing, but it held up great and I got a TON of complements on the coverage and color. I would definitely recommend. I would add a pic if I could so you could see. It looks exactly like it does in the advertisement on Amazon.

The lip stick doesn’t say that it’s waterproof.
