Good old Rubbermaid
Sturdy container with a lid that seals well. And yes, as advertised, it is big enough for a whole chicken.

Chicken really fits
Also have been looking for a replacement container for the roast chicken from "you know where" ever since the conversion to the plastic bag. Read reviews here for the container so decided to order it. I was very surprised that the chickens actually do fit into this container. An overly large chicken may be a tight squeeze. Of course will need to remove the chicken for slicing (which was not always necessary with the old container). It has also helped to keep the chicken a little longer. This is the best solution that we have found so far. Nice to have the 2nd container for additional storage. Cleans up very well in the dishwasher.

Great size
I try to meal prep for the week so I make large batches of food. I don't like to put my stock pot or the inner rice cooker pot in the fridge so I needed a LARGE container to transfer the food into to put into the fridge. I don't necessarily put everything into serving size containers on the day that I make it. It depends on what all I make. I like to put together rice bowls with different ingredients so having the big container of plain rice works perfectly for me. They also work great to just make a big macaroni salad in. These are very sturdy and should last a while.

Pleat to
The product was great, it just wasn't what I wanted. I was trying to find a great big rectangular container to put salad in in the fridge for a large family of 11 but I keep getting the wrong size bowls because I don't have anything that I can compare it to size wise to know if it's the right size.

Perfect Size for Rotisserie Chickens from You-Know-Where
You know how You-Know-Where did away with plastic clamshells for rotisserie chickens and is now using plastic bags? You know how utterly messy and nonfunctional that is? This Rubbermaid container has solved that problem for me. I just slide that chicken out of the bag along with the drippings and into this container. It's a perfect fit; I don't even have to squish the chicken down in order to seal the container.I still hate the plastic bag, which can't be recycled. But aside from changing food clubs to get the plastic clamshell, which I'd rather not do, this is working well for me.Overall, I prefer the Rubbermaid containers over other brands, many of which are cheaper -- but break easily (especially the lids). These are sturdy containers, and the lids snap together for easy, space-saving storage.PS -- I see a few reviews that indicate the labels are a nightmare to get off. I have a cabinet full of Rubbermaid containers (3 - 4 dozen?) in various sizes and I've never, ever had a hard time removing the labels. They just pull off. I've never tried to use water to remove them and wonder if that makes them more difficult. I have, however, had difficulty removing labels and adhesive residue from other products/brands; Goo Gone works magic with those in a very short amount of time.

Rubbermaid saved my sanity
Tried so many different containers and Rubbermaid is , in my opinion, the best for your money. They don't break your bank and they certainly seal tight and keep food fresh. Tried high priced ones thinking they should be better........nope, and the ones that snap on all 4 sides drive me crazy. Rubbermaid, simple andeasy.
