Fantastic all round performances, in particular from Tom Hardy whose multi-layered and rather complex role demanded no less than the very best that he could bring to the screen...and he certainly did.Not many, if any, can outshine James Gandolfini in the genre, but Hardy acted all over the veteran with ease. I believe the plot's intensity dawns on the audience only after curtains in most cases. If you're stuck inside on a cold rainy day and have a glass of something in hand, this is for you.

Really enjoyed this film, lots going on with good twist! Great watch.

GOOD FILM..

Kept me drawn in, although I would find it difficult to say exactly how. Pretty slow all the way through but such excellent performances from every cast member the end kind of creeps up on you. Very enjoyable indeed and I am glad I purchased rather than rented it. Great movie.

Adapted from a short story by Dennis Lehane, this is an excellent movie with top performances from Tom Hardy, Naomi Rapace and James Gandolfini in his last role. Not a frame is wasted and the story keeps the viewers attention from start to finish. Atmospheric, gripping and touching all at once.

Watched this movie last night and then remembered I'd watched it before. But I did enjoy it again Tom Hardy played a good part and so did the late James gandolfini. A good watch for a Saturday night.
