Waterman Fountain Pen Refill Ink Cartridges | Long Standard | Serenity Blue | 8 Count

I'm no fountain pen/ink expert, but I think these are wonderful cartridges. I recently rediscovered a fountain pen I'd been given as a gift a few years ago, and decided to start using it again since I much prefer the way my writing looks when I use one.I ran out and bought the first ink cartridges I found; some cheap, short ones that seemed to be intended for children to use. When I started writing with them, my writing looked lovely - until the ink started smearing everywhere. Try as I might, I simply could not get it to dry. Even if I left my notebook open for 10 minutes, as soon as I closed it the ink would blot and smudge, and the whole thing was a horrible mess.So I did some research and saw Waterman highly recommended. I went with these and as soon as I tried them (once I'd run through the ink leftover from the old cartridges) I couldn't believe the difference. I write, leave the ink for about 5-10 seconds, and then I can actually rub my finger across the writing without it smudging at all. And this is on fairly poor-quality paper too.The best I'd been hoping for was 'slightly less smudgy' than my awful cheap cartridges, but this has far exceeded my expectations! And even though it's fast-drying, the ink still flows beautifully. It glides out of the pen and looks 'wet' for a few seconds before it dries, although of course this will vary depending on what paper you're using.I'm a huge Filofax fan but had given up on using a fountain pen in mine, since Filofax paper and fountain pen ink never really seemed to mix. However, having tried the Waterman ink on my Filofax paper I'm amazed to say that it dries super-fast on there too. I'm now itching to order another fountain pen to keep in my Filofax's pen loop, and I'll be filling that with Waterman ink too.The colour is lovely too - a nice, bright blue which looks attractive while still being sensible enough for office/school use. I can't wait to try out some of Waterman's other colours too!

This Waterman brand fountain pen is a pleasure to use. It's appearance is stylish with stainless steel barrel and cap with 23ct gold trims. It writes smoothly and fluidly.It is well balanced and comfortable in your hand. It can use cartridges or a bottled ink filler (available at an extra charge). The price was good as it had a deal reducing it by about £15.Anyone who enjoys fine writing instruments will appreciate this pen. The cartridges are available in black or blue and last well. (I have been using mine daily for over four weeks on the same csrtridge). I could not be more pleased with this purchase

My wife is a constant diarist and always uses her fountain pen, she absolutely loves these cartridges.

Did the job well. Easy to use. No leakage. Good colour. Fit my pen well.

They work in my Waterman pen and do not leak

i have a wordsworth and black pen and these are my go to cartridges! they last about 1-2 weeks depending on how much i’m writing and they have a nice deep black colour, no blue around here. flow is good and constant but the ink has a tendency to smudge a little if you’re going over with a highlighter or something so allow a bit more time to dry off

It’s wet and leaves marks on paper just where I want it to.

Purchased these for my Faber Castell fountain pen. My intention was to find some longer ink cartridges so that they don't run out too quickly.They arrived swiftly, and I was thoroughly impressed by the ink quality. The black is intense and flows out with great thickness and consistency. The ink is fairly rapid in drying, and only smudges if you immediately rub something over the ink after it comes out on the page.The pack of eight has lasted me several months, after heavy use every day, so I see this as a good value item compared to other offerings. I will be ordering again as soon as these run out.My only gripe is that they do not 'click' into my pen, rather hang slightly loose. However they have never fallen out or leaked, so it is not a major flaw.
