RSPB 500g Super Suet Hanging Cake with Mealworms (Box of 8)

These have been appreciated by all the birds in our garden especially during the recent freeze. I thought at first the birds didn't like them but it was just a case of a new untrusted item in their garden, Once a few started to pick them the rest followed. We have blackbird, robin, blue tit, great tit, sparrow and occasional starlings visiting and enjoying them which is brilliant.

These are brilliant to encourage all sorts of birds to your garden as stated by many other reviewers. I found the way to get round the squirrels is to put it in a squirrel proof cage and hang the suet cake, using wire garden ties to the top of the cage. This way all the little birds can get to it but the squirrels cannot get into it. (oh joy)We have 4 woodpeckers that visit our garden and if you hang the suet cake low enough in the cage, even they can get their heads through the cage and get some of the food.

If you want your garden to come alive with lots of different species of birds buy this. It really works! They love these hanging cakes, I couldn't believe the incredible success they had with the birds, compared to other brands... It must be the equivalent of gourmet suet!!!

These arrived in very good time - and are easy to hang up using a piece of garden twine. Now am keeping an eye out for the birds.....as I get lots of birds on my feeders....including parakeets! The birds love these hanging cakes and I have now bought more!

Birds just love these - I am using one per day at the moment. This morning it has been visited by lots of starlings, blue tits, a magpie and a great spotted woodpecker. Highly recommended.
