While these might work for a relatively dry sandwich on standard bread, they do not seal. They zip closed. That means they can leak (for example a sandwich with tomatoes or pickles and if you don't get around to eating the sandwich soon, the bread will dry out. I wanted to use it for things you might ziploc...sliced apples, veggies and sandwiches for lunch and leftovers.Also difficult to wash. you have to turn them inside out (tough to do, at least when they're new) and then there's no way to hold them down, so they moved during the cycle. Luckily, they did get caught on the wash arm and break the dishwasher.Don't know about "sturdiness".

These bags are great! They wash easily, I just throw them in the washing machine. I have been using them for dirty and clean bags for my masks.

I’ve used one of these for almost a year and just ordered three more for make-ahead lunches. I used them with waxed paper bags so there is virtually no clean-up. Food stays fresh without using plastic.

I do not understand how these will replace using sandwich bags for my lunch snacks! They are not air tight. There’s a big space between the zipper end and the end of the bag. I’m really disappointed. They look cute & that’s about it.

These things feel pretty cheap. They are like a crunchy-wax paper feeling and the zipper is small and seems like it's gonna break soon. The bags are smaller than I had hoped, and I have to squeeze my sandwich inside. (i use very large bread though, so if you are a white bread eater, size won't matter) the only good thing about this bag is how easy it is to clean, and it comes in husband-friendly colors. I will not order again.

These attractive little bags are are made for your basic sandwich: chicken salad, ham and cheese, turkey, tuna, PB&J, etc. If you put tomato on it that will be fine, also pickles if they are not sopping wet. C'mon folks, if you want to pack a big juicy sloppy joe for lunch you need a sandwich box with a snap-on lid. Note also that there are two sizes. Buy the larger ones, they will hold a larger type of bread without crowding. The smaller ones are probably OK for kid's sandwiches. I suspect they will be discontinuing those. The bags really don't need to be put in a dishwasher (unless you insist on that sloppy joe). Spray a little detergent inside, rinse out and dry. Just like you would clean a ziploc bag for re-use.

Super cute and smooth gliding zipper; however the bag itself is smaller than I expected (slightly smaller than a sandwich sized Ziplock bag). The size works for most of my needs, but it is not quite big enough to hold an actual sandwich which is the reason for the 4-star review.

Very pleased with this purchase. Size is great, much prefer the zipper than the velcro (which I currently have, hence this new purchase as the velcro comes away and gets old and ratty very quickly with each wash) I can see these lasting a long time. The zipper opening is very generous it has a cleaver end allowing it to fully opening without the teeth juming out so you can get a loaded sandwich inside with it breaking or falling apart. Well done!
