Installation & Compatibility: I bought this to replace a failing starter on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I was impressed right out of the box; the housing felt substantial, and the mounting holes lined up perfectly with the existing bolts. Installation took about 15 minutes, and there was no need for shimming or modifications. ​Performance: The engagement is crisp and much quieter than my old unit. It spins the engine over with plenty of torque, even on cold mornings. Item was perfect. It was as described and works like a charm.

Put in around the beginning of July this year, and the part failed Nov 10th. Id go to start it just to only hear it spinning, the part that pushed it towards the transmission locked up. 4 months of starting is all I got. Dont buy it, get a quality starter for this one, its a frustrating few bolts to get to and you dont want to docit twice.

Actually a very good item. I had some issues with my jeep not starting, but It turned out that I needed a new battery after all. It’s still doest not hurt to have a new starter since the old one was a bit rusted already. The only reason I don’t give it a 4 is because the outer cover doesn’t look as strong and well sealed as the original.

Great starter for the price & fit my jeep perfectly and starts strong (woth a charged battery).

Bought this for a jeep wrangler. It honestly worked great and to this day its only caused one issue. The jeep has been very abused. When i put this shiny new part on it, the jeep seemed to have an attitude for a few weeks and didnt want to drive down the highway. Turns out it was just ticked off at the "new" shiny part and we had to go get it dirty. All fine now. Starter works great and has now become a dirty part of the jeep family.

Great part at a great price. Got my Jeep wrangler back up and running in no time. Easy repair.

Cheap replacement. It does work but very noisey.
