Hilka Heavy Duty 7 Drawer Trolley with Ball Bearing Slides, Red

I had a lot of tools and other small items in my garage woodworking shop lying around on shelves and my workbench because I couldn’t find a home for them. It was great to get them into this unit, out of the way but still very easily accessible. The varied depths of drawers makes for efficient use of space in them. It’s very nicely finished too. After questioning the cost, it was well worth it.

I went for a Hilka as I’ve always had good service from their tools. I needed another roll cab to organise some kit that wouldn’t fit into my bigger pro Snap On ones and the cost to buy another isn’t in my pensioner’s budget. Unboxing, it looks the part and I bought it knowing that it was more a home DIY item, but I hoped that as Hilka are generally very good, this would serve its purpose for lighter weight specialist sockets, spanner’s etc. I added an extension three drawer unit as the combined set was fairly reasonably priced and to give plenty of room. It’s easy to put together, the casters are solid and two lock to stop it migrating on an uneven surface, but it seems altogether very flimsy. Any engineer will know not to open more than one drawer at a time and to store heavier items in the lower drawers, and as this is much narrower than the pro roll cabs a little more caution is needed. The drawers are smooth but when nearing full, seem to need quite a lot of force to push back and locking it is a nightmare, top and bottom cabinets. In all, it looks good, does the job that I bought it and the extender unit for, but I have a nasty feeling that the drawer runners won’t stand up to anything like the work that the far more expensive cabinets will shrug off. For the DIY enthusiast, provided you don’t overload the drawers it’s a very good buy, but for me it lost a star because it feels flimsy.

Great bit of domestic kit, wouldn’t say this is full on commercial garage grade but it works. Lots of space, the lock works and I had no issues with mine. These things are getting expensive so it was worth getting one before its remortgage time and thus has met my expectations and found a good home. Good runners, even spray, easy to fit handle, arrived intact and built, so no complaints here.

This is NOT heavy duty far from it. It maybe metal but the draw runners are cheep plastic.. mine arrived bashed and crushed and the draws wouldn’t open or close - sent it back

Brought this took chest for a some DIY monster racking for a quarter of the price I wanted in my van, see pics of before and after. Really pleased with the quality of the tool chest, one small scratch was present upon delivery.Draws are of good size, when locked and driving around in the van, I hear no noises, none of the draws have flew open, yet.Good value for money

Nice sturdy tool chest, 7 drawers only thing is and its not a bad thing but the chest i got was not of the one shown. Other than thats im happy with it and will do fine for a home mechanic.
