It used spray oil on mine once let it soak overnight wiped it & it’s gorgeous I Love it. Recommend this. Product completely. It keeps water hot most of my morning it is very sturdy perfect size for me love the weight keeps my bat wings at bay😎

So pretty and durable. I love the loose leaf tea basket inside. It is heavy compared to most tea pots, but not too bad. Great product!

So far I don't dislike anything to do with it. I love the fact that the handle does not get hot when holding it. So I can hold it by the handle support with out a hot pad. Water for some reason tends to stay hotter longer compared to my other teapots. I believe that is do to the enamel coating. It holds the perfect amount of water for me to host all of my girlfriends when they come over. Making it so I don't have to boil several different pots of tea. The only thing I am not used to but am planning on fixing is to install a whistle or bell for when the pot starts to boil because I tend to forget about it when its ready. But this teapot is truly a work of art and one of the best presents I have ever gotten for my birthday. My hubby is the man ever.

I recently purchased a Japanese cast iron teapot and have been disappointed with its performance, especially considering its high cost.This teapot cannot be placed directly on the stovetop, as the direct heat would damage the inner enamel lining, rendering it useless.Instead, you must first heat water in a separate kettle, then transfer it to the cast iron pot. The pot requires about 15 minutes to heat up initially, after which you must empty and refill it with more hot water to reach a temperature suitable for steeping tea in the infuser.While the teapot does steep tea quickly, limiting steep time to under three minutes to avoid the bitterness of the tea, the final beverage is not as hot as you might prefer. Additionally, you cannot leave any water or tea in the pot after use because it risks rusting.Cleaning is also cumbersome. It involves rinsing with hot water (soap is a no-no), drying thoroughly with a kitchen towel, and then turning the teapot upside down on a towel to ensure no water remains in the spout.The whole process is quite tedious. Considering the teapot's limitations—its inability to be used on a stovetop, the requirement to keep it dry, and the two 15-minute heating processes just to prepare it for use—the teapot falls short of being practical. While it is aesthetically pleasing and serves as a great conversation starter, its utility is limited to being a decorative kitchen piece or prop.For those who do not mind the elaborate setup or simply want a charming item for display, it might be appealing. However, I find it hard to recommend for regular use. It's like a stunning blonde without a brain and lacking in substance.I can't get my money back since I just used it today and missed the deadline to return it.
