Light and powerful
Great little saw using it to cut 18mm plywood. Easy to use and light. What is the adjustable fence for. I can see the slot is for a track guide but why the step on the fence makes it useless.

Impressively capable for a 12V saw, excellent control and build, clear limits on depth
Update after a few weeks: surprised me once I stopped treating it like a full-size saw I already own larger 18V circular saws, so when I bought the Bosch Professional GKS 12V-26 it was to fill a very specific gap. I wanted something compact for sheet materials and small jobs where pulling out a full-size saw felt unnecessary. I picked it up in a Christmas Amazon sale for under £90 after a lot of hesitation. I’ll be honest, my first impression wasn’t great. It felt small, almost under powered compared to bigger cordless saws, and I did briefly wonder if I’d made a mistake. On paper, it doesn’t look like it should be capable of much. That changed once I actually put it to work properly. After a few weeks of use, mostly on plywood, OSB, MDF and smaller trimming jobs, it’s proven to be far more capable than its size suggests. It won’t muscle through material like a framing saw, but if you let it do the work, it cuts cleanly and accurately. The key is not to force it. Accuracy is one of its strongest points. The saw tracks straight, visibility of the cut line is excellent, and the full-length base plate makes a real difference. I’ve trimmed a couple of millimeters off panels without drama, which is actually easier with this than with a heavier saw. Battery choice matters. With a decent Bosch 12V battery, runtime has been better than expected for small to medium jobs, but this is not a tool that rewards tiny batteries or impatience. Used sensibly, it’s efficient rather than punchy. One practical note from real use: on MDF, it behaves much better with dust extraction. Without it, the cut can bind and stall if you push too hard. On softwood, ply, and OSB I haven’t noticed this at all. Again, it’s about using it within its comfort zone. Build quality has held up well. Nothing has loosened, adjustments still lock firmly, and it feels like a properly engineered tool rather than a novelty compact saw. This won’t replace a full-size circular saw, and anyone buying it expecting that will be disappointed. But as a secondary saw for sheet goods, trimming, and quick jobs, it’s become something I reach for far more often than I expected simply because it’s quick, accurate, and easy to control. At under £90 it was an easy decision. At full price, it still makes sense if you understand what it’s designed for.

Great tool. Not perfect. Worth the money tho.
Took me a while to bond with this. What was it for? Turns out you'll have plenty jobs for 10-20mm plywood. Becomes an essential workmate. Well built, great cut — terrible guide (by eye) for lining up your cut. Needs a mkii to get it bang on.

Like a Scotch Bonnet chilli pepper!
Small, but has the ability to take your head off. Literally. :-D I already have a medium-sized and a large-sized circular saw, but I needed something compact for a particular job. Like you, I had "ummed" and "aahed" about buying one for some time, but I finally made the decision to go for one. Firstly - this thing is tiny! I was worried if it would get through 3mm-thick plywood. I was worried I was going to make a fool of myself if anyone saw me using it. I was worried the battery would go flat in three minutes. But! This thing is (insert your favourite expletive) BRILLIANT! The blade doesn't rotate as fast you might think is necessary, but don't worry about that: the incredibly powerful motor simply drives the blade through. 18mm MDF? No contest; 12mm plywood? Pah! It's *fantastic*, it really is. The other thing I like is the 'guide'. Unlike my other saws, the designers of which said, "oh, 'make it a' tiny little thing that offers no stability", the Bosch 'guide' is the full length of the plate, which means it doesn't (can't!) wander off of its own accord. I trimmed off a critical 2mm from a cabinet base, earlier today, with no drama, whatsoever. The battery seems to be doing fine, too. The LEDs are a really helpful indicator. I've just been going through the Bosch Professional range of tools, here on Amazon... and I think I might be adding to my collection fairly soon. Now you've put this in your basket - have a look at the drill / driver... the same compliments apply to that little beauty.

Very surprised how good it is despite sounding underpowered.
I’m pleasantly surprised at this saw. Nearly returned it as it felt very under powered to my Dewalt cordless stuff. Followed reviews and exchanged the 3ah batteries for the 6ah rip off battery. This makes a noticeable difference the speed, but still seemed under powered. Took it to site and ripped a load of 18mm mr mdf and skirting and couldn’t believe how well it performed. The cuts were accurate with the rip fence and dust extraction whilst using inside was brilliant. I’d highly recommend it for quick/small jobs. Others recommend better blades which if you’re cutting laminates or need a finer cut is probably true but this blade gives a fantastic cut on mdf, barely any tear out. I’d say the 6ah is a must for this and with the Bosch fence, I think it would perform very well. One thing to note, if you’re not using dust extraction, it can have a tendency to bind up and stop on mdf but I’ve not noticed this on softwood, ply or osb so far.

A really well made saw.
I already had the drill so I had a battery - made this an obvious choice. No regrets - it's small, and yes it does spin slowly. But it cuts quicker than my old Black and Decker and with far less fuss; and how often do you need a circular saw for anything thicker than 25mm? Connected to a vacuum there is almost no dust, and it's pretty quiet. Not noticed any problems with battery life - though I'm not using it for serious professional use. A classy bit of precision made kit - like trading in a '70s Capri for a Tesla. I imagine.

Wat een verschil ten opzichte van de grote jongen. Ik weet dat je hier geen balken mee kan zagen maar voor plaatmateriaal is die geweldig. En geluidsarm.
