Excellent for glass painting!
Excellent product. I paint on glass. I used to just lay my glass on a white surface, with an over-the-table light. But I couldn't know how it would look in a window with the sun shining through until I was finished painting, and actually hold it up to a sunny window. Now with this light table, I lay the glass on it, touch the button to full brightness, and it lights up the colors just as if it was the sun, and I can paint and see how it looks as I'm painting. I'm very glad I bought it.

Better quality than expected
This is my second A2 light pad in one year. The cord on the first one died after about five months but luckily, I had one around the house that would fit. Then the whole thing died. According to reviewers of most light pads, that’s par for the course with these Chinese-made tools. Shoddy and don’t last long. Well, this one just arrived so too early to tell if it’ll last more than one year but just in the unpacking, I’m impressed with the quality. It was packed very securely, with the screen protected with a removable plastic film to avoid scratches. Styrofoam held it safely inside the fitted box. Setting it up was simple and again, I was impressed with the quality. The cords are sturdy and don’t seem as if they’re going to just die on me, as the other one did. Only a few dollars more than the shoddy one I had, so a bargain — IF it lasts!

Great tracing pad.
So far, it’s worked flawlessly. For those asking about brightness adjustment. It has 4 light brightness settings. Very good. It’s only about 3/8” thick so handle with care until it on a flat surface. This feature also allows for storage in tight places. For me that is a huge plus. I bought the 24” x 36”size. for large sketching paper it works great. Don’t hesitate. It’s worth the money.

Early impression: great little light table
Executive Summary (TL;DR):For $20 USD, this is a pretty killer deal if you need a light box: it is very slim and lightweight, the metal frame is quite sturdy, the light is bright and adjustable, and you can power it using using regular wall AC or USB power brick.Details:These are my very early impressions having used the light table for about a week, so they may change over time. If they do, I'll post an update.I bought this for tracing: I have photos that I would like to turn into pen and watercolor paintings. It is easy in Adobe Photoshop to open an image, duplicate the image layer, apply the Find Edges filter, then add a Black and White adjustment layer to get a very usable line tracing from the image. Add a Curves adjustment layer to dial in contrast. Voila! a printable line drawing from an image.Thing is, I'm a complete noob at this and my pen and ink skills are still a bit shaky (I was going to say sketchy...). I'm using the light board to trace the more technical parts of the drawing. So far, I've been pretty pleased with the results. Here are the things that I really like about this:- as others have said, the light is quite bright and it is adjustable- it is very slim, lightweight, and easily portable- the version I bought came with a longish power cable and a power adapter, which I appreciate- the two plastic clips don't feel very sturdy, but they work well holding an image and tracing paper to the board- it is possible to "lock" the on/off and light adjustment / dimmer buttons, which are exquisitely sensitive to touch and easy to inadvertently activate (they should have been placed along the top where the user is less likely to brush up against them) - press the Up and Down dimmer buttons at the same time and hold for 3 seconds - the light will blink and the buttons will be locked - do this again to unlock the buttons- it comes with a very lightweight non-woven bag with a carrying handle - it's nothing I would use for transport, but it can be used as a dust cover- you can power it using the USB adapter or just plug it into a USB power brick - I like the flexibilityI will say that if you are using 300 gsm / 140 lb paper - especially cold pressed paper with significant texture - it can be a bit challenging to see detail even at the highest light intensity. I'm guessing that slightly lighter paper (100 lb) with a smooth surface like hot press might work a bit better. You'll definitely want to experiment a bit.I would also say that if you were planning to throw this in a backpack or book bag, you might want to invest in some type of sleeve or carrying case to keep all of the bits and bobs together and keep the screen from getting scratched up.Recommendations:Preliminarily, I can recommend this without hesitation: If you're looking for an inexpensive, reasonably sturdy and bright light box, this is definitely worth considering.

Nearly Perfect!
This item is almost perfect. It is thin and lightweight and easy to transport with the handy carrying sleeve. The controls are conveniently located and intuitive to use. Setup is easy. You just plug the connector into the AC adapter then into an outlet. There are multiple brightness settings. Unfortunately the harsh blue LED's put too much of a strain on my eyes and I will be returning it. What would make this gadget truly perfect would be to add a light temperature setting. A more yellow light would appear brighter and be less strain on the eyes. Also, a hanging wire on the back of the light would be convenient for those wishing to trace while standing. Other than the light temperature issue, this was exactly what I was looking for. Just another suggestion to buyers. Find the size that you think will be perfect, and then order the next larger size. You will be glad you did.

LOVING this lightbox
I have two smaller lightboxes, but a new diamond painting project was too large for them - too much of the canvas hung over the sides. I have been using this new bigger one for several days. The canvas only overhangs a little and I don't have to worry about curls. I like the brightness locking feature. My other two lightboxes are designed where the charger cord plugs directly into the board itself. The smaller one has already separated at that point and using it is difficult. I really like this version with the "pigtail" so the charger cord doesn't plug directly into the board. I like to work on my lap, so the size is a little unwieldy, but using a lapboard underneath makes it usable.
