Stonehenge Paper 11X White 90LB, One Size

Nice pad, delicate tooth and fairly thick paper. I wanted this for coloured pencil artwork. I use polychromos and luminance pencils and it seems to work well with them. I do think I prefer a smoother paper, but the quality seems very good. I would have given this five stars, but dropped one for the poor packaging by Amazon. When you spend this much on a pad, you expect it to be protected and packaged accordingly. This was purely laying in a large deep cardboard box with a scrunched up piece of paper on top of it. One corner had started to dog ear, as it had obviously been hit against something in transit, but not enough damage to the pad to warrant me returning. This was packaged by people who have no idea that pads should arrive flat and pristine. This isn’t the first time and it will be the last time that I purchase an expensive art pad from Amazon.

So I was a little cautious with this purchase as its not exactly cheap , However after starting a project I was very impressed with the quality , using it for polychrome pencils I can add lots of layers without the paper getting tired .

For a premium drawing pad costing £31, I expect a protective packing. in fact it was delivered unpacked, not even a plastic bag or anything, just swimming freely along with other household products in a large box. The paper block is dented on top side, affecting 3-4pages. Paper itself is nice though, moderate to light texture, natural white.Very disappointed.

Love this paper.What a difference a good paper makes to your drawings.So far I have only done graphite and pen pictures but the grip on this paper is superb.I hope to soon try a coloured pencil image but I'm sure it will be successful too.

Delicate even tooth,bit of texture to grab the coloured pencil,not too slick.Perfect for layering and burnishing.Very pleased with the results so far.The first time I have used it.

Really surprised at the great reviews on here. I bought this pad a few months ago my first drawing using this I found it difficult to get any depth of colour down with lots of light layers but I had just bought some new pencils and thought it was probably inexperience with these, my second drawing was similar and the third confirms this paper needs some pressure to get good depth of colour.My wrists ache, I won’t be repurchasing.
