I love this kit, its a great mojo restorer. It goes together beautifully, it includes figures if you want to build a diorama and its impressive but not too taxing, this would be a great first tank build for anyone wanting to try a 1/35 scale tank kit. It's inexpensive and looks great when its finished.

This is a brilliant Tamiya kit from the 1970's. It is very easy to build, comes with 5 figures and also has decals for different versions of the vehicle. Inexpensive to buy, it is great for trying out new techniques and is a perfect model for beginners. Highly recommended.

I think this particular kit is an old one, the date on one of the sprues was 1971, and I think there has been a more recent version of this kit put out. As kits go it wasnt that bad. Some of the parts were a bit iffy in how they fitted together and had to be modified for a perfect fit. The turret was particularly tight and had to be filed a lot so that it wouldnt keep scraping the paint off. The instructions were not as good as some of the more recent kits from Tamiya, one problem being a complete lack of painting instructions in English. It seemed to only cater for a desert version, but I did mine in a Russian front version in Panzer Grey. Also there were only vague instructions on correct use of decals. Other than that I would recommend the kit because it was at a good price and a good one to practice painting, weathering etc.

This was a great model - I was some what unhappy however as certain decals and also certain parts of the instructions were blanked out or removed from the kit. Having never made a tank before this was my first crack at one, As a model it fits together really well. I had some issues with the wheels and if I was to revisit this kit I would glue them. Another good thing about this model is the scope to play about with shading. I added weights to model too and once done it makes for a quite fair sized tank and looks great on the shelf.

[UPDATE] Got a replacement kit that was untouched, so censoring the kits must happen at random. Now I'm a happy camper :) upped rating from 3 stars to 5. The kit itself is great HOWEVER.... Amazon... why, oh WHY do you have to censor the kit and remove swastikas from kits like this? This is as innocent as it goes... this is just a plastic model kit for crying out loud...If you do this at least have the courtesy to tell your customers about this in advance...

The decals for the Africa core paint scheme have been cut out. Presumably due to its inclusion of the swastika. However, given it is perfectly legal to include them and the kit is specifically marketed as a Africa Core tank (which is why I brought it) its rather annoying.

I highly recommend this model kit to all levels of modeller; for the price and quality, its a great kit! First of all its Tamiya, so you're going to get value. It may not be up to the high-end standards of other more manufacturers that cater to the advanced/professional modeller, but you get a kit that is detailed enough the pros respect, satisfy the intermediate builders, and challenge the entry level novice. Molded in a styrene equivalent of the Deutsch Afrika Korps dark yellow, the kit is neatly packed in a handsome box with great artwork. A single plastic sealed bag protects the majority of the parts sprues, which the exception of the hull and superstructure halves which are loose. Inspection of the kits shows crisp moulding with no flash in sight and the level of detail, panel lines, grates, girls, etc. is impressive for a kit that costs less than $20. For those wanting a more detailed and realistic representation of the subject, the only thing I can see is maybe an upgrade set of individual track links (if they even exist) as only vinyl is provided. I may use a trick I learned of using pins from the inside of the hull to push down a create a slight sag in the vinyl to simulate the weight of the track between the return rollers. Two sets of instructions are provided (Japanese and English) The instructions are very good, with clear sequencing and numbering of parts coupled with easy to understand options. The instructions also have a whole history of the vehicle including a breakdown of battalion structure. There is also a painting and decal application instruction insert, but this is only in Japanese so a little research may be necessary to understand what your painting and applying marking for. In addition there is another helpful insert which is a set of techniques for cutting, scraping, glueing, painting, etc...this will be a big help for the novice. I'm defiantly going to be building this one soon as part of my Afrika Korps collection, but its such a great kit for the price that I'm going to order another just to have in my kit stash.

Anyone who is into tanks models should pick up this little model. It is a must have for tanks builds. It is easy to assemble, comes with 5 figures, and can be had at a low cost. A great model to practice painting and effect schemes. I stayed with the north Africa theme, but these were used in all theaters by the Germans, so a German grey could be use. The figures that come with it are in North Africa uniforms.

Ovviamente il prodotto è superlativo, ma la totale mancanza su quali colori usare mi lascia interdetto, le istruzioni per le decals e la colorazione sono totalmente in giapponese senza un apparente codice di colori, ho dovuto fare una ricerca per trovare il colore adatto. Per il resto tutto bene
